In 2023, Phu Trung was chosen by the Provincial People's Committee to build the NTM. Although it is a commune with a low starting point, with its efforts in implementation, Phu Trung has achieved positive results. The commune has mobilized resources to upgrade and concretize more than 117km of village roads, inter-village roads, alleys and intra-field roads. In particular, the commune People's Committee headquarters and medical stations have been newly invested in construction; the school system has also been upgraded with a budget of over 24 billion VND, contributing to improving the quality of education and 100% of schools in the area have met national standards level I. At the same time, programs and projects to support poor households and ethnic minority households have been effective, thanks to which the rate of poor and near-poor households has gradually decreased and the number of well-off and rich households has increased...

Phu Trung is the 10th commune and also the last locality of Phu Rieng district to achieve the NTM standard. This is truly an honor and pride for the Party Committee, government and people of the commune in particular and Phu Rieng district in general, moving towards bringing the district to meet the NTM standard.
