Vietnam Fatherland Front participates in building new rural areas and civilized urban areas

In recent years, the Fatherland Front at all provincial levels has promoted its core role, effectively implementing emulation movements and campaigns, especially the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas". Thereby promoting the role of the people as the main subject in building new rural areas.

People of Vong Tre village (Binh Dan commune, Van Don district) donated more than 600 square meters of agricultural land to expand traffic routes.

Identifying the program of building new rural areas as a central, regular and long-term political task, in recent years, the Fatherland Front at all levels of the province has continuously built the great national unity bloc; actively propagated and mobilized people to implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; promoted the people's mastery to participate in building a clean and strong Party and government; responded to patriotic emulation movements, campaigns and local socio-economic development programs.

With many good and creative ways, patriotic emulation movements and campaigns have been widely deployed by the Fatherland Front at all levels to residential areas closely linked to the interests of the people, focusing on implementing the goals of the new rural construction program. A typical example is the campaign "The whole people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas" ( now "The whole people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas"). Through the movement, people have voluntarily and consciously Participate in building new rural areas and civilized urban areas through practical actions, such as: Contributing efforts, money, donating land to build infrastructure; protecting the green - clean - beautiful environment; maintaining security and order; building cultural families, villages, and neighborhoods; competing in labor production, developing family economy; building self-managed streets, neighborhoods that ensure security and order, green - clean - beautiful streets, civilized neighborhoods...

From 2015 to present, people of the whole province have donated ^540,177m2 land, contributing 942,000 working days, 15,506 billion VND to build the new rural area. Enterprises, agencies, and units in the province contributed over 25,254 billion VND with the Fatherland Front and people to join hands to implement the new rural area criteria.

People in Duong Ngang area (Minh Thanh ward, Quang Yen town) unite to help each other develop vegetable growing to escape poverty sustainably.

The Fatherland Front at all levels has newly built and effectively maintained 521 pilot models in many areas of social life, attracting the active participation of cadres, union members, association members and people from all walks of life. Typical models include: "Mobilizing social resources, promoting the spirit of self-management of people to actively participate in urban beautification, building rose roads" in response to the movement "Cam Pha City - City of Millions of Roses" of the Fatherland Front Committee of Cam Trung Ward (Cam Pha City); "Propaganda, mobilizing cadres, union members, association members and people to exploit, manage and effectively use neighborhood cultural houses in Yen Giang Ward" of the people and cadres of Village 8 (Song Khoai Commune, Quang Yen Town); "Unite to help each other develop the economy, help poor and near-poor households" of the Front Working Committee of Chi Lang Village (Binh Duong Commune, Dong Trieu City); "Preserving the cultural identity of the San Diu ethnic group" of the Fatherland Front of Binh Dan commune (Van Don district)...

The provincial Fatherland Front has mobilized and received over 200 billion VND from collectives and individuals for the provincial "For the Poor" Fund, organized the construction and repair of 12,450 houses for poor households, contributing significantly to the completion of the program to eliminate temporary housing and dilapidated housing for the people; built and put into use over 2,560 social welfare works, civil works, such as model roads, inter-village and inter-hamlet roads, cultural houses, installed sports equipment, planted trees, built intra-field canals, installed civil electricity lines, lighting, and trash bins on the roads, worth hundreds of billions of VND from socialized sources.

Through the propaganda and mobilization work of the Fatherland Front at all levels, people actively responded and participated in general cleaning activities and the "Green Sunday" movement in residential areas, with an average of over 800,000 union members and people participating each year.

Through specific activities, the Fatherland Front at all provincial levels has actively contribute to the implementation of socio-economic development tasks and maintain security and order in each residential area; arouse the tradition of solidarity among the people, strengthen and expand the great national unity bloc.
