Quang Ninh affirms the quality of key education

This year, Quang Ninh had 110 students participating in the exam, winning a total of 88 prizes, including 2 first prizes, 27 second prizes, 30 third prizes and 29 consolation prizes. The 2 first prizes were for History and French. Notably, the Biology, Geography and Chinese teams achieved a 100% winning rate, while the Physics, History and English teams also had a winning rate of up to 90%.

Nguyen Ngoc Phuong Linh, 12th grade History student, Ha Long High School for the Gifted (first prize winner in History at the national high school competition for excellent students in the 2024-2025 school year) said: This is a great joy for me personally. To achieve this achievement, in addition to my own efforts, the encouragement of teachers and the school's Board of Directors gave me great motivation to conquer the exam.

Compared to the previous school year, the number of awards in the province increased, especially the number of second and third prizes. Notably, the percentage of students winning awards this year reached 80% of the total number of contestants - the highest number in the past 10 years. This achievement reflects the efforts of the school's teachers and students, and affirms the quality of Quang Ninh's leading education.

Key education is an important pillar in the strategy of developing high-quality human resources in Quang Ninh. In recent years, the province has continuously invested and innovated training methods to improve the quality of excellent students, aiming at regional and international integration. The brilliant achievements in the national high school excellent student exam in the 2024-2025 school year once again affirm the province's right direction in developing key education.

Not stopping at national achievements, Quang Ninh education continues to make its mark on the international arena. This school year, the province has 5 students entering the second round to select regional and international Olympic teams, including 1 student in Chemistry, 2 students in Biology and 2 students in Information Technology.

In particular, the great pride of the Mining land is Ninh Quang Thang, a 12th grade IT student at Ha Long High School for the Gifted. He has excelled in the top 15 best students in the country, officially becoming a member of the Vietnamese team participating in the Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad (APIO) 2025. This is the result of a persistent journey, overcoming many difficult rounds with the IOI international standard exam.

This result is not only a joy for Thang personally, but also a testament to the outstanding training quality of Ha Long High School for the Gifted. The school continues to affirm its position as the "cradle" of training talents for Quang Ninh and the whole country.
