Nowadays, from housework, going to work, taking care of the family, pursuing personal interests to... unnamed jobs, "weak" women can take on all of them. How do modern women balance work and life?

The trend of women turning the burdens of life into... joy is gradually becoming more popular.

The key to women balancing all of these "sides" is good mental health. According to psychologists, balancing a woman's life takes many different forms, but all have the same goal of leading a simple, happy life.

When half the world rushes in... to take on everything

In all areas of social life, the image of a capable, confident, determined woman, a "leader on all fronts" is no longer strange.

Ms. Nguyen Anh Thu (fertilizer import-export corporation in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) told about her close friend - Nga, an international sales employee, 35 years old, with a husband originally from Thai Binh and 2 children.

Her husband's family and her biological parents' family both live in Ho Chi Minh City, nearly ten kilometers apart. However, according to Ms. Thu, everything "tidies" on her friend's shoulders.

"Both sets of grandparents are old and difficult. My husband's parents live in the North, so their lifestyle and customs are difficult to match with their children and grandchildren, especially their daughter-in-law.

Yet my friend Nga balances both sides, takes care of the children, cooks well and sometimes even invites her husband's friends home for meals to increase interaction. She does her work at the company well, and arranges her work schedule with foreign partners and is always praised for being effective.

Although she works in a company, she also studies finance, stocks and invests on the side to have money for her own hobbies. My friend never complains, on the contrary, she is always full of energy," Ms. Thu shared.

There is also a group on social networks with more than 860,000 members, most of whom have in common that they like to take care of housework, business, work, and finances very well.

An anonymous account introducing itself as a single mother in Hai Phong shared: "I am a single mother of 3 children.

My job is in local administration, but thanks to borrowing from my parents and saving a little, I was able to build up my business by buying an apartment and selling it at a good price. My savings account has 10 billion VND, and I have a piece of land in Hanoi...".

This account received a "shower" of compliments and admiration: "Being a single mother of 3 children but still happy and mentally able to calculate carefully in business, having stable assets, men should learn."

Balance between work and personal life

Assessing the fact that many women have courage, joy and balance in life, psychological experts recognize the importance of taking care of mental health. Because this is the key to creating inner happiness, helping women feel stable.

Psychologist Nguyen Thi Lan (HCMC) admits that mental health is no different from a "master key" for women, especially modern women.

Assessing that modern women put mental health care first, is a correct therapy because it is also a measure of comprehensive health care. Ms. Lan said: "Mental health is as important as physical health".

According to a psychology expert at Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, "balancing work and personal life is a big challenge for modern women."

To improve mental health when facing a lot of worries, according to this expert, there are many different methods, such as taking time to rest, taking time for yourself, having a reasonable diet, thinking positively, using devices to support cleaning the house, spending time with friends, having fun, exercising, sleeping on time...

The trend of women today is developing comprehensively. Breaking out of the "weaker sex" mindset, the "fairer sex" is asserting themselves, working and contributing, creating new values, increasing their position in society. Modern women need to "carry the joy".

Gender stereotype barriers

According to the Vietnam Women's Union, 1 in 4 private enterprises has women participating in business management, and they contribute 40% of the wealth to the economy.

Currently, 20% of businesses in Vietnam are owned by women, a figure expected to increase to at least 30% by 2030.

A recent study by RMIT University Vietnam published in the Journal of Small Business and Enterprise Development has shown that the barriers that female entrepreneurs are facing are gender bias and lack of practical skills.

Only when these barriers are removed can the Vietnamese economy truly exploit the potential of female entrepreneurs, contributing to promoting growth and innovation.
