Austria's Adlerhorst, the Dolomitenhütte hotel's "room with the best view in the world" is fully booked for two years.
German travel blogger Dzenisa Forlano shared her experience staying in a hotel room with "the best view in the world" during her trip to the Lienz Dolomites, Austria, in late December 2023. Her room, called the Adlerhorst, is located at the Dolomitenhütte Hotel, perched on a high cliff with a snowy abyss below and snow-capped mountains in the distance. The Adlerhorst is also famous for its two-year wait list to check in.

The room costs $85 a night, including breakfast with a wide selection of fruits, cereals, and pastries. The bed is covered with a pure white mattress and is placed next to floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing guests to see the panoramic view outside. "This is definitely the most romantic hotel room I have ever stayed in," said the female traveler.
Despite the lack of a private bathroom, the room was "worth the two-year wait for," according to the German tourist. "The view and price are both great," she added.
Despite having to share the bathroom with other guests, the female tourist still expressed satisfaction because "everything was clean".
The Dolomitenhütte Hotel is built entirely of pine, has a large lobby with a fireplace, two terraces and a restaurant serving traditional dishes and local specialties. The hotel's new rooms (like Forlano's) are located on the cliffs of the mountains at an altitude of 1,600 m.
From the room down to the lobby, visitors can use a toboggan. When going up, people are encouraged to walk to admire the beautiful "fairy tale" winter here.
The hotel is easily accessible by car. Guests can enjoy a variety of activities, including rock climbing, outdoor sports, hiking and mountain biking. In the summer, the terraces of the cliff-top rooms are flooded with sunlight and "offer stunning sunsets".

A video of the woman's room has been viewed more than 600,000 times and has received hundreds of comments expressing excitement from other visitors. "This is heaven," one viewer wrote under the video. "This place is worth the wait, no matter how long it takes," another added.
