Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang attended a reception to celebrate the 74th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-China diplomatic relations (January 18, 1950 - January 18, 2024) organized by the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam.
Also attending the ceremony were representatives of leaders of ministries, sectors, localities of Vietnam and friendly personalities, businesses, and international students of the two countries.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang, Chairman of the Vietnam-China Bilateral Cooperation Steering Committee, affirmed that the Party, State and People of Vietnam consider developing relations with China a strategic choice, a top priority in Vietnam's foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralization and diversification; believing that the stable and sustainable development of bilateral relations is in line with the practical interests of the people of the two countries, beneficial to cooperation, prosperous development of the region and the world.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang emphasized that following the historic visit of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong (October 2022), in 2023, the Vietnam-China Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership will have great developments and achieve historic achievements.
During the State visit to Vietnam by General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping (December 2023), the two Parties and countries agreed to continue to deepen and elevate the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership, building a Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future of strategic significance. This is an important milestone in the development process of Vietnam-China relations, a new position to bring the relationship between the two Parties and the two countries into a better stage of development.

Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Hung Ba affirmed that China is willing to work with Vietnam to implement the important common perception of the top leaders of the two Parties and two countries, and strive to bring the Vietnam-China Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership and the Community of Shared Future to continuously develop, bringing practical benefits to the people of the two countries.
The two sides agreed to continue to closely coordinate and concretize the achievements and new contents of the Vietnam-China Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership that General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping agreed upon, developing the relationship between the two Parties and two countries with "higher political trust, more substantive defense and security cooperation, deeper substantive cooperation, a more solid social foundation, closer multilateral coordination, and better control and resolution of disagreements."
