On the afternoon of September 24, comrade Ho Duc Phoc, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam, had a meeting with comrade Dinh Tiet Tuong, member of the Politburo Standing Committee, Deputy Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China. This is an activity within the framework of the 21st China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) and the China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit (CABIS) in Nanning City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China. Attending the meeting was comrade Vu Van Dien, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh Province.
Welcoming Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc leading the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, Deputy Prime Minister Dinh Tiet Tuong expressed that China and Vietnam are friendly neighbors; China firmly supports Vietnam in developing and building a modern country on the path of socialism suitable to Vietnam's situation.
Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc respectfully conveyed the greetings and best wishes of the leaders of the Party, State and Government of Vietnam to the senior leaders of China; congratulated China on its preparations to celebrate the 75th anniversary of National Day; wished for the successful organization of the CAEXPO and the 21st CABIS Conference, demonstrating China's important role and position in the regional and world economy; and sincerely thanked the Chinese Government and Guangxi authorities for their thoughtful, respectful and sincere reception for the Vietnamese delegation.

The two comrades expressed their joy and appreciation for the positive developments in the relationship between the two Parties and the two countries in recent times. This has provided strategic direction for the development of bilateral relations, established a new position, and elevated the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership.
The two Deputy Prime Ministers agreed to strengthen direction for ministries, sectors and localities of the two countries to actively realize and concretize high-level agreements and common perceptions, enhance substantive cooperation in all fields, promote the bilateral relationship to continue to develop stably, healthily and achieve more results in the coming time.

Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc suggested that the two sides actively coordinate to arrange high-level visits and contacts, effectively implement important exchange mechanisms between the two Parties and countries in the coming time; promote substantive cooperation areas to achieve new progress, especially connecting railway and road infrastructure across the Vietnam-China border.
He also suggested that the two sides coordinate to manage the land border well; strictly implement the agreements and common perceptions of the high-ranking leaders of the two Parties and two countries, maintain peace and stability at sea, better control and resolve disagreements at sea, in accordance with international law and the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).

Deputy Prime Minister Dinh Tiet Tuong highly appreciated and approved the cooperation proposals of Deputy Prime Minister Hu Defeng, and affirmed that the Chinese Party and Government consider relations with Vietnam a priority direction in the country's neighborly diplomacy; hoped that the two sides would continue to maintain high-level contacts, enhance political trust, promote substantive cooperation, expand humanistic exchanges, control disagreements well, and consolidate the traditional friendship between China and Vietnam.
