Kinhtedothi - On the afternoon of December 16, the People's Committee of La Phu commune (Hoai Duc district) organized the National Defense Day 2024. Attending the festival were Vice Chairman of the City People's Council Pham Qui Tien, Colonel Nguyen Van Huu - Deputy Head of Politics of the Capital Command.
At the Festival, Vice Chairman of La Phu Commune People's Committee Nguyen Hung Huynh informed about the socio-economic development situation of the commune. Accordingly, up to now, in the economic structure, trade and services in the area account for 57%; industry and construction are 41.4%, agriculture accounts for only 1.6%; average income per capita in 2024 is 102 million VND/year. In La Phu commune, the political security, order, social safety and national defense posture have always been maintained stable. In recent years, the Party Committee, People's Council & People's Committee have actively implemented the construction of national defense, achieving quite comprehensive and solid results.
Building a strong and in-depth commune defense area, regularly building, adjusting and supplementing plans to suit the practical situation and socio-economic development planning of the commune. Education, training and dissemination of national defense and security knowledge are carried out in a systematic and effective manner, creating a strong change in awareness and action for cadres, party members and people of all walks of life. At the Festival, Vice Chairman of the City People's Council Pham Qui Tien informed the cadres and people of La Phu commune about the socio-economic situation of Hanoi in 2024. Accordingly, the city is expected to basically complete 23/24 socio-economic targets; GRDP growth is expected to increase by 6.52%; budget revenue is estimated at over VND 492,309 billion (reaching 120.5% of the estimate, up 19.6%) over the same period; attracting foreign investment capital FDI reached about 2 billion USD. National defense and security work is strengthened, political security and social order are ensured. Foreign affairs and international integration are promoted.
According to the Vice Chairman of the City People's Council, in 2024, the City will also complete many important and strategic tasks to perfect institutions and policies, creating space with a long-term vision for the development of the Capital. That is the Capital Law 2024 passed by the National Assembly, the Prime Minister has approved the Capital Planning, and submitted to the Prime Minister for adjustment of the Capital Construction Master Plan. Focus on and urgently implement Resolution No. 1286/NQ-UBTVQH15 dated November 14, 2024 of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units. Focus on responding to and overcoming the damage of storm No. 3 and the flood situation after the storm. Vice Chairman of the City People's Council Pham Qui Tien suggested that the Party Committees and authorities from the district to the commune in Hoai Duc district focus on building strong Party Committees and authorities, closely attached to the people. Promote the combined strength of the great national unity bloc in building a national defense. Closely combine socio-economic development with strengthening national defense and security, maintaining political security and social order and safety in the area. Build a solid "people's heart position". Arrange a streamlined and effective apparatus to respond to the general situation of the country in accordance with the direction and major orientation of the Party and General Secretary To Lam on "New development era - Era of the rise of the Vietnamese nation".
At the same time, the Vice Chairman of the City People's Council reminded the district and commune to continue promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc, enhancing the role of the Fatherland Front and organizations, and the people in building the Defense Zone. Pay attention to and care for the lives of all classes of people, especially policy beneficiaries and people with meritorious services. Promote the advisory role of military and police units to the same-level Party Committees and authorities on national defense and security work, and building the Defense Zone.
