(CLO) On December 20, at the Vietnam Journalists Association Building, the Veterans Association of the Central Office of the Vietnam Journalists Association held a meeting to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024), the 35th anniversary of National Defense Day, and the 35th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Veterans Association (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024).


Attending the meeting were Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association Nguyen Duc Loi, representatives of the Veterans Association of the Vietnam News Agency, representatives of professional agencies and members of the Veterans Association of the Central Agency of the Vietnam Journalists Association.

The Veterans Association of the Central Agency of the Vietnam Journalists Association recently held a meeting to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024).

At the meeting, delegates reviewed the glorious history of the Vietnam People's Army over the past 80 years. Stories about the brave fighting spirit and heroic sacrifices of soldiers were shared, recalling a difficult but also glorious historical period of the nation.

Representatives of the Veterans Association of the Central Office of the Vietnam Journalists Association and delegates attending the meeting also shared profound memories of the years of training and arduous fighting, and expressed their wish to continue receiving the attention and support of the press in promoting the Association's activities and the contributions of veterans in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

At the meeting, journalist Nguyen Duc Loi, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, acknowledged the important contributions of the Veterans Association of the Central Office of the Vietnam Journalists Association, and affirmed the important role of veterans' activities in propagating and educating the tradition of patriotism for the younger generation.

Journalist Nguyen Duc Loi said: "The Vietnam Journalists Association is always ready to accompany and support the Veterans Association of the Central Office of the Vietnam Journalists Association in information and propaganda work, contributing to spreading good values ​​to the community."

The meeting was also an opportunity for the Veterans Association of the Central Office of the Vietnam Journalists Association to review the coordinated activities implemented in the past and to propose directions for the coming time. To evaluate the coordinated propaganda work on patriotic traditions, on typical and advanced veterans, contributing to educating the younger generation about patriotism and national pride...

On this occasion, comrade Pham Truong Son, Chairman of the Veterans Association of the Central Agency of the Vietnam Journalists Association and comrade Chu Van Cuong received certificates of merit from the Chairman of the Vietnam Veterans Association.
