On the afternoon of September 15, at the National Assembly House, Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee Nguyen Manh Tien received a delegation of Georgian parliamentarians led by First Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee Georia Mariam Lashkhi on the occasion of attending the 9th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians hosted by the Vietnamese National Assembly.

At the meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee Nguyen Manh Tien welcomed the Georgian National Assembly Delegation to attend the Conference; believing that the participation of the Delegation members will actively contribute to the success of the Conference.
Deputy Chairwoman of the Committee Mariam Lashkhi sincerely thanked the Vietnamese National Assembly for giving the delegates attending the Conference, including young Georgian parliamentarians, a very warm welcome and for making careful preparations, ensuring the conditions for the successful organization of the Conference.
Expressing his impression of Vietnam's revolutionary tradition and socio-economic development achievements in recent times, First Vice Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly, Georgia, hoped that through the visit, he would have the opportunity to learn more about the role and activities of the Foreign Affairs Committee, the coordination mechanism between the agencies of the National Assembly; share and learn from the operational experience of the Vietnamese National Assembly in carrying out legislative work, supervising and deciding on important national issues.

Thanking the good impressions of the Georgian Parliamentary Delegation with the country and people of Vietnam, Vice Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee Nguyen Manh Tien hoped that in the coming time, the two countries will further promote cooperation in many fields; carry out many exchange activities, expand cooperation between the National Assembly, agencies of the two National Assemblies, and National Assembly deputies of the two countries... In particular, the Foreign Affairs Committees of the two National Assemblies need to coordinate closely, become a bridge to promote relations between the two National Assemblies, and increase exchange activities between National Assembly deputies of the two countries.
Agreeing with the opinion of the Vice Chairwoman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Vice Chairwoman Mariam Lashkhi affirmed that she will make every effort to promote relations between the two countries and the two countries' legislative bodies; hoping that the two sides will closely coordinate and increase mutual support at international inter-parliamentary cooperation forums.
