(CLO) With the theme "Heritage Flow", Ninh Binh Festival 2024 taking place from November 24-30, will take visitors on a journey to "relive" a thousand-year history through a series of large-scale, cinematic cultural and artistic activities.

Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ninh Binh, said that following the success of the two Ninh Binh Festivals in 2022 and 2023, the third Ninh Binh Festival with the theme "Heritage Flow" will be held from November 24 to 30, 2024, in Ninh Binh city and Hoa Lu district, Ninh Binh province.

This event is likened to a real-life "historical drama", opening up a journey to discover thousands of years of historical landmarks with eye-catching, emotional performances.

This is not only an opportunity to promote Ninh Binh culture but also an opportunity for tourists to immerse themselves in the space of Vietnamese heritage, where the past and present blend together.

Brilliant Opening - Recreating the heroic journey of nation building

According to the Organizing Committee, on November 24, the opening ceremony at Dinh Tien Hoang Square will open the Ninh Binh Festival 2024 on a grand scale, broadcast live on VTV1 and online platforms.

The audience will be immersed in an elaborate staging space with 3D mapping technology combining music and dance, recreating the journey of establishing and moving the capital of the kings from Hoa Lu Capital to Thang Long and Hue - three capitals bearing the glorious historical mark of the nation.

This will be a program like a vivid film about the flow of heritage, spanning from ancient times to today.

Art space imbued with cultural identity

At the press conference, the leader of Ninh Binh Department of Culture and Sports said that this year's Festival brings together a series of creative artistic activities, imbued with culture and ancient style.

Right in the middle of Nui Thuy Park, Duc Thuy Son Assembly Hall will transform into a contemporary poetry space under the moonlight, where visitors can enjoy tea, recite poetry and listen to traditional music – a unique experience, bringing visitors closer to the national soul.

In addition, the music night “Ninh Binh - Sao Mai convergence” taking place on November 28 at Pham Thi Tran Theater promises to be an inspiring musical party, where excellent voices from the Sao Mai competition will gather and flourish, opening up a colorful musical space of both traditional and modern colors.

Street Festival - Immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the ancient market and dress up in ancient costumes

On November 29, a street festival will turn the Tam Quan Gate on Trang An Street into a lively “ancient market”, with performances of ancient costumes, handicrafts and folk games.

In particular, the historical costume contest promises to bring visitors back to the ancient world. 20 excellent contestants will perform exquisite ancient costumes, conveying the sacred spirit of the nation, bringing a cultural playground connecting the past and the present.

Ninh Binh Festival 2024 will close with the captivating electronic folk music night "Í A Fest" at Thung Nham on November 30.

This is a unique music party, where folk and modern meet, creating a cultural space of the highest caliber, inspiring the young generation to continue and honor traditional music.
