Speaking at the opening of the conference, comrade Tran Song Tung, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, outlined the potential, strengths, and tourism development orientation of Ninh Binh province. He emphasized that Ninh Binh is a land of spiritual land and talented people, with an important strategic position in terms of politics, economy, and security. This place used to be the capital of the first centralized feudal state of Vietnam, associated with three dynasties: Dinh Dynasty, Tien Le Dynasty, and Ly Dynasty.

Ninh Binh currently preserves nearly 2,000 tangible cultural heritages and nearly 500 intangible cultural heritages; has Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex - the only mixed Cultural and Natural World Heritage in Southeast Asia, which is assessed by UNESCO as an exemplary model in the world for promoting the global values of World Heritage. Those geological, geomorphological and cultural and historical values have been identified by Ninh Binh province as the foundation, resources and driving force for sustainable development. With the orientation of developing services as a key economic sector, Ninh Binh province has many resolutions and policies for tourism development, striving to become the first heritage city in the country by 2030.
Up to now, Ninh Binh has become a bright spot on the tourism map of Vietnam and the region, ranked among the top 10 provinces with the highest number of visitors in the country; For 3 consecutive years (2018-2020), it has been voted by international travel magazines and websites as one of the top attractive destinations in Vietnam and the region. In 2023, at the annual award organized by Booking.com, Ninh Binh was the only representative of Vietnam in the top 10 friendliest destinations in the world; the famous travel website The Travel (Canada) rated Ninh Binh as one of the 10 best family vacation destinations in the world. The leading US magazine Forbes honored Ninh Binh as one of the 23 best tourist destinations in the world in 2023. In the first 10 months of 2023, Ninh Binh welcomed 5.9 million visitors, 1.9 times higher than the same period last year, with revenue reaching more than 5,500 billion VND.

The Vice Chairman of Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee emphasized that in recent years, Ninh Binh province and Hanoi city have proactively implemented many tourism development activities with impressive figures; coordinated well in promoting typical tourism products, new tourism products through activities: conferences to promote and promote tourism, conferences to cooperate in building tourism products with the response and active participation of businesses.
After a long period of being greatly affected by the pandemic and difficulties from the global economic recession, the association, cooperation in promoting and advertising tourism to attract tourists from the Central Highlands provinces to Hanoi, Ninh Binh province and vice versa is very important. In the process of development cooperation, it is necessary to effectively exploit the identity of each locality while still creating tours, connecting strengths or unique tourism products, and characteristics of each locality.
The Vice Chairman of Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee hopes that through this conference, Ninh Binh province and Hanoi city will have the opportunity to exchange experiences in management, tourism promotion, heritage conservation and development with the Central Highlands provinces; at the same time, introduce the potential, strengths, and unique tourism products of Ninh Binh province and Hanoi city, especially the World Cultural and Natural Heritage of Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, Cuc Phuong National Park; Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Hoan Kiem Lake... to a large number of tourists and tourism businesses in the Central Highlands provinces.
This is also an opportunity for units, businesses, and investors in the tourism value chain of the Central Highlands provinces and Ninh Binh province, Hanoi city to exchange, discuss, and share experiences on difficulties, obstacles, policies to attract and develop tourism, establish cooperative relationships, propose solutions to promote connectivity, and promote tourism development. The opinions, discussions, and sharing from delegates and businesses of the Central Highlands provinces will be valuable ideas for Ninh Binh province, Hanoi city to continue to supplement and perfect policies, tourism products and services, attracting a large number of tourists to Ninh Binh province as well as Hanoi city.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Song Tung hopes that from the success of this conference, in the coming time, Ninh Binh province, Hanoi city and Gia Lai province will play a core role in maintaining and promoting the cooperative relationship and tourism development of provinces and cities in the Red River Delta with provinces in the South Central Coast and Central Highlands regions.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Tran Ngoc Nhung, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Gia Lai province expressed his joy, welcomed and thanked the delegates for coming to the Central Highlands in general and Gia Lai province in particular. At the same time, he affirmed that in the current period, tourism in each locality, if it wants to develop, needs to learn and share experiences, strengthen cooperation between state management agencies as well as businesses operating in the tourism sector. Therefore, tourism really needs to connect to develop. From this conference, the relationship between Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Gia Lai, Kon Tum, Dak Lak, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen will become increasingly closer, and business cooperation and tourism investment programs and projects will increasingly develop in both quality and quantity.
At the conference, delegates heard about the resources, tourism strengths, typical products of each locality and the main events that will take place in 2024; at the same time, discussed, proposed, and answered the opinions, wishes, and recommendations of business representatives and state management agencies. On that basis, it created a premise for exchanging, connecting, and building close cooperative relationships, for the goal of green and sustainable development.
Also within the framework of the conference, delegates visited and learned about OCOP products, local specialties, which are unique souvenirs and gifts, serving domestic and international tourists.
The conference to promote inter-regional tourism destinations between Ninh Binh province, Hanoi city and the Central Highlands provinces is an important event to promote linkage and cooperation in tourism development between Ninh Binh province, Hanoi city and some localities in the South Central Coast - Central Highlands region. |
