Developing green architecture associated with building Da Nang into a large, ecological, smart, unique, sustainable city

DNO - On the afternoon of August 24, the Association of Architects of Da Nang City held its 9th Congress, term 2024-2029. Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City Le Van Trung and Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Architects Phan Dang Son attended the congress.

The Association of Architects of Da Nang City has 16 affiliated branches with more than 560 members who are architects in specialized fields such as architecture, planning, interior design, graphics... working at departments, branches, localities, universities, related units and businesses in the city.

During the past term, the Association of Architects of Da Nang City, together with its affiliated branches, has carried out many practical and effective activities, basically completing the plans and tasks set out in the Resolution of the 8th Congress, term 2019-2024.

The Association has organized many creative activities, consulting, criticism and social appraisal in the fields of planning and architecture, regularly maintaining the "Sao Bien Architecture Award"; established 2 more clubs, in which it has caught up with the trend of the times and established a club of architects applying artificial intelligence (AI) in architectural and interior design; organized many activities to promote the knowledge of members who have worked for many years in the practice of planning, architecture and construction in the city.

The association's members have contributed many ideas as a scientific basis for formulating policies, laws, as well as development plans and projects related to planning and architecture in the city. The results of the association's activities and its members at its branches have contributed many practical results to the overall development of Da Nang.

With the motto "Solidarity, responsibility, innovation, development", the Association of Architects of Da Nang City is determined to strive to successfully carry out the tasks set out by the 9th Congress, term 2024-2029, especially building a strong association in all aspects; gathering and uniting organizations and individuals to actively participate in the city's planning and architecture orientations and policies, contributing their efforts and intelligence to build and develop Da Nang.

Accordingly, the Association of Architects of Da Nang City innovates its operating methods, adapts to the digital age, the explosion of artificial intelligence, especially promotes the development of green architecture associated with the goals of building Da Nang into a large, ecological, smart, unique, sustainable and internationally-standardized city.

At the same time, with the spirit of “Architects with social responsibility”, the Association of Architects of Da Nang City promotes the culture of architects, joins hands and unites with the city to participate in the task of building and developing sustainable urban areas; taking care of housing development; building new rural areas; bringing architecture to everyone and creating a safe, friendly and sustainable living environment.

The Congress elected the Executive Committee of the Da Nang City Association of Architects for the new term with 17 members. Dr. Architect To Van Hung, Secretary of the Hoa Vang District Party Committee, was re-elected as Chairman of the Da Nang City Association of Architects for the 2024-2029 term.

On this occasion, the Association of Architects of Da Nang City received a certificate of merit from the Chairman of the City People's Committee. The Chairman of the Vietnam Architectural Association awarded certificates of merit to the collective of the Association of Architects of Da Nang City and 7 individuals who have made many positive contributions to the association's activities and architectural development in the period 2019-2024.
