On January 8, information from the Office of the People's Committee of Nghe An province said that the People's Committee of this province has just issued a decision to administratively sanction Thien Minh Duc Group Joint Stock Company (headquartered in Vinh City) and sent it to the company and relevant authorities for implementation.
According to the decision on administrative sanctions, Thien Minh Duc Group committed 4 violations in the field of social insurance.
As of November 30, 2024, this enterprise was late in paying compulsory social insurance, unemployment insurance, and health insurance for 108 employees, an amount of more than 2 billion VND.
Thien Minh Duc Group was fined nearly 188 million VND.
The penalty decision also forces businesses to pay the full amount of social insurance, unemployment insurance, and health insurance that is late or lacking.
In addition, this enterprise must pay interest on late and underpaid insurance premiums as prescribed.
Within 10 days from the date of receipt of the penalty decision, if Thien Minh Duc Group does not voluntarily comply, it will be forced to comply.
Thien Minh Duc Group was established in 2001, with an ecosystem of many subsidiaries and branches operating in the fields of petroleum, liquefied petroleum gas, real estate, paper and packaging production, logistics, restaurants, hotels, entertainment areas, and maritime transport.
Previously, as reported by Tuoi Tre Online on January 3, the police force was present at the private home of Ms. Chu Thi Thanh - the legal representative of Thien Minh Duc Group and the group's headquarters. However, specific information related to this has not been announced.
On December 25, 2024, the Nghe An Provincial Tax Department announced the public list of tax debtors and other state budget revenues with an amount of more than VND 1,297 billion, of which Thien Minh Duc Group alone owes more than VND 1,085 billion.
