Over the past 6 months, with political determination and the highest efforts, the Party Committee - Command of Coast Guard Region 4 has strengthened leadership, direction, and synchronously and resolutely implemented many correct, scientific, and comprehensively creative policies and solutions in all aspects of work and has achieved the proud results as above.
The Regional Command regularly does a good job of disseminating and educating the law, especially on combating illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing (IUU) in many diverse and rich forms. Resolutely and uncompromisingly fighting against smuggling, trade fraud and law violations at sea, inspecting and handling 255 cases/264 vessels; sanctioning and advising on administrative sanctions with a total amount of over 5.2 billion VND; confiscating over 1.4 million liters of DO oil, over 31.2 thousand kg of scrap, selling assets with an amount of over 22.4 billion VND. All proceeds have been paid into the State budget in accordance with regulations.

Chairing the Conference, Colonel Tran Van Luong, Commander of Coast Guard Region 4, said that the above results were the convergence and crystallization of the strength of solidarity, determination, and the spirit of overcoming difficulties to rise up of officers and soldiers. The unit has strictly maintained the regime, on-duty order, and combat readiness according to regulations; coordinated and implemented well the measures to grasp the situation, promptly synthesize, evaluate, advise, propose and handle situations flexibly and effectively, avoiding being passive and surprised.
In the coming time, Colonel Tran Van Luong requested that the Party Committees and commanders of agencies and units continue to thoroughly grasp and seriously and effectively implement the resolutions, directives and regulations of the superiors. Focus on building cadres and soldiers with political will, steadfastness, pure revolutionary ethics and standard working style, strictly comply with the law and discipline, and successfully complete all assigned tasks. Organize and strictly maintain the regime, forces and means on duty according to regulations; strengthen the direction, operation, monitoring, inspection and evaluation of training results to ensure quality, efficiency and absolute safety. Strengthen patrolling, controlling, maintaining law enforcement; coordinate and synchronously deploy professional measures, combat smuggling, trade fraud, strictly handle fishing vessels violating IUU...
On the same day, under the chairmanship of Major General Nguyen Van Dung, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of the Regional Command, the unit held a conference to review party work and political work in the first 6 months of the year, and deploy directions and tasks for the last 6 months of 2023./.
