The National Political Publishing House Truth has just released the book " Prime Minister Phan Van Khai and strategic decisions ".
The book presents the most outstanding activities of Prime Minister Phan Van Khai in the fields of economics, culture-society, education, and diplomacy through documents and materials selected from national archives.
Mr. Phan Van Khai (December 25, 1933 - March 17, 2018) - former member of the Politburo, former Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, National Assembly delegate of the 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th terms; outstanding leader of the Party and State of Vietnam, a staunch communist, who fought all his life for national independence and freedom, people's happiness and socialist ideals.
With more than 70 years of revolutionary activities, from participating in the revolutionary movement to taking on the position of head of the Government, Mr. Phan Van Khai's life is closely associated with the struggle for independence and national unification as well as in the cause of innovation, construction and protection of the Fatherland, the whole country moving towards building socialism.
In his positions as Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Chairman of the State Planning Commission, Politburo member, Politburo Standing Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Council of Ministers, Deputy Prime Minister, and Prime Minister, Mr. Phan Van Khai has always been concerned, sought out, and devoted to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation, contributing together with the Party Central Committee and the Government to lead the entire Party, people, and army to carry out the renovation process, bringing the country out of the socio-economic crisis, developing a socialist-oriented market economy, maintaining political and social stability, strengthening national defense and security, expanding foreign relations and international integration, achieving great achievements of historical significance.
The book " Prime Minister Phan Van Khai and strategic decisions " was compiled by the National Archives Center III, the State Records and Archives Department in collaboration with the National Political Publishing House Truth to commemorate the 90th anniversary of his birth.
The book presents the most outstanding activities of Prime Minister Phan Van Khai in the fields of economics, culture-society, education, and diplomacy through documents and materials selected from national archives.
The book consists of 3 parts, each part has articles arranged by topic and chronological order, the development of events: "Economic decisions"; "Socio-cultural decisions; "Foreign affairs and diplomacy decisions." The documents are published in full text or excerpts, with clear source annotations, so they are very reliable.
With all the deep affection for the talented, dedicated and responsible leader, the Editorial Board has tried to select and gather the most typical documents so that readers can feel and visualize the personality and working style of Prime Minister Phan Van Khai, thereby affirming the great contributions and efforts in his life that he has devoted to the State and the nation.
