BTO-On the afternoon of March 28, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee (term XIV) worked with the Standing Committee of the Phan Thiet City Party Committee on the implementation of tasks in the past time and the direction of tasks in the coming time. Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hoai Anh chaired.
In recent times, the Party Committee and people of Phan Thiet city have achieved many positive results. These include rapid economic recovery after the Covid-19 pandemic; annual budget revenue exceeding the province's assigned targets; tourism revenue growing year by year. Specifically, in 2023, the number of tourists will reach 6.25 million. Of which, international visitors account for 3.2%, with estimated revenue of about 14,800 billion VND. In the first quarter of 2024 alone, the number of visitors to Phan Thiet is estimated at 1,300,000, an increase of 3 times over the same period last year; of which, foreign visitors are about 161,000, an increase of 2 times over the same period; estimated revenue is about 3,800 billion VND, an increase of 1.5 times over the same period. At the same time, implementing the policy on the expansion of Phan Thiet city and planning some important areas of Phan Thiet city; The Provincial People's Committee has approved the land use planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 and the land use plan for 2024... contributing to the socio-economic development of the province.
Along with the above outstanding results, some tasks are still limited, such as the implementation of key and important projects and works of the city and the province is still slow. The management of planning, land, construction, and urban order has overlaps between land use planning and other planning. Determining land prices and resettlement land funds is still inadequate, affecting the progress of compensation and site clearance. The number of overdue records and records that must be returned in the land sector is still high. The progress of resolving cases where the state has allocated residential land and resettlement land but has not completed land procedures, and granting land use right certificates to eligible cases is still very slow, with no results. At the meeting, delegates gave opinions, discussed and proposed solutions to resolve the remaining difficulties and problems.
Concluding the working session, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hoai Anh assessed: The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee acknowledged the efforts of the Standing Committee of the Phan Thiet City Party Committee. And requested the Standing Committee of the Phan Thiet City Party Committee to review and promote the implementation of solutions to soon complete the goals and targets of the Resolution of the Phan Thiet City Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term. Pay attention to arranging cadres and civil servants when merging communes and wards; proactively supplement and improve human resources for the Phan Thiet Land Fund Development Center and the Phan Thiet Project Management Board to meet human resources needs in the coming time.
Continuing to promote the achieved results, it is recommended that the People's Committee of Phan Thiet city coordinate with provincial agencies to adjust the city's master plan, propose resettlement projects to submit to competent authorities. Coordinate to speed up the implementation of key projects and works; advise on resettlement policies for a number of key projects (Ca Ty apartment building, Ca Ty embankment); focus resources to completely implement compensation and site clearance. Strengthen state management of land, environment, construction, resolutely enforce the demolition of encroachment on public land, forest land, state project land, illegal construction works, scrap businesses in the inner city, and the situation of trading on the road and sidewalks causing insecurity and disorder. Along with that, promote attracting capable, experienced investors and famous brands to implement large projects, promote tourism development. Continue to mobilize people to keep the environment clean, plant trees and flowers to create landscapes.
