On the morning of October 2, Tuoi Tre Online had an exclusive interview with shooter Pham Quang Huy - the 19th Asiad champion in the 10m air pistol event.
The highlight of the conversation was Pham Quang Huy's sharing about his love for two dynamic sports: hip hop and skateboarding, which are completely opposite to shooting - just standing still.
Quang Huy shared: "The best age to practice shooting was when I was in middle school (11-14 years old - PV). But at that time I was busy playing, in the words of young people, still "immature" so I didn't think about shooting. At that time I danced breakdance, hip hop and skateboarded.
These sports have helped me gain physical strength and especially the mentality to stand in front of a crowd when I pursue shooting later on. Above all, the sports also have one thing in common: they all require perseverance, there are movements that must be practiced over and over again every day to become the most proficient.
In my final year of 10th grade, I started shooting but I stopped playing those two sports. Because I was busy practicing in parallel with studying, and partly to avoid injuries."
Before becoming famous for shooting, Pham Quang Huy was known by his stage name Bboy Huy Milo (meaning young man who dances breakdance and hip hop). The name Huy Milo comes from the fact that when he was a child, Huy always carried a carton of milk with him.

Pham Quang Huy is also very good at shooting online.
During the online interview, many readers sent questions to Tuoi Tre Online . Among them, surprisingly, there were Pham Quang Huy's defeated generals in an online shooting game.
When asked about this, the young man from Hai Phong laughed and said: "I used to have a YouTube channel but now I quit. Generally, I play with a rank, I only win a few friends but I'm not really good.
Many friends also jokingly asked me why I didn't register for shooting and Esports at the 19th Asian Games. But after a day of shooting practice, my eyes get tired after just 15 minutes of using my phone. I've almost given up playing games because it affects my nerves and eyes."

Self-confessed mild OCD
In daily life, Pham Quang Huy is considered by his teachers to be a very tidy person. The reason, he shared, is because of his mother's strictness since his childhood.
There is also another reason, which is the disease OCD ( obsessive-compulsive disorder ) that young people today often use to refer to people who are always absolutely neat and tidy.
"I'm grateful to my mother for teaching me to be tidy from a young age. But I think I have a little bit of mild OCD. In my room, I often arrange things according to their order, order, and nature.
If even one item is out of place, I immediately feel very uncomfortable. Many times I spend the whole weekend arranging things and when I finish, I feel very comfortable," Quang Huy shared.
Who is shooter Pham Quang Huy?
Shooter Pham Quang Huy was born in 1996 in Hai Phong, the son of former shooter Pham Cao Son, a monument of Vietnamese shooting. Since the age of 2, Quang Huy followed his parents to live at the National Sports Training Center in Hanoi when his parents went to train the national team.
Pham Quang Huy has been practicing shooting since 2012. By 2017, he had won many domestic and international achievements and reached the national master level. In 2019, Quang Huy joined the national shooting team in Nhon. Currently, Quang Huy is a student of 2016 Olympic champion Hoang Xuan Vinh and expert Park Chung Gun (Korea).
