Must approach media more appropriately

At the congress of the Vietnam Chess Federation for the second term (2023-2028), Mr. Dang Ha Viet - Director of the Department of Physical Education and Sports shared some ideas for the federation to absorb, improve and do better when electing a new executive committee.

The new President of the Vietnam Chess Federation, Deputy Director of VTC Digital Television - Mr. Nguyen Van Binh expressed his thanks and expressed his concerns about the comments of Mr. Dang Ha Viet. In particular, Mr. Nguyen Van Binh said that the federation must try harder in caring for the chess community and innovating the form of communication for this sport.

The new President of the Vietnam Chess Federation emphasized the role of communication in developing the chess movement. Mr. Nguyen Van Binh said that the Vietnam Chess Federation needs to consider the chess-loving and chess-playing community as customers and potential customers, not for trading but for serving.

Mr. Nguyen Van Binh said: " In the past, we always told each other that the federation must reach out to the chess-playing, chess-loving and chess-watching community. But when the Director talked about customers and potential customers, I took in two ideas from that message. First, the chess community is the object of our service. Next, they are the object that we must aim to take care of and they are the ones who nurture us.

Here, we do not understand in the business sense. We consider customers as God, serve customers, bring the food they want, then customers will support us.

Second is communication. The Federation plans to have a Communication Committee. Everyone knows that communication is very important. How important is the first thing the director emphasized. We must find a way to get information to everyone. And then it must reach the right people.

In society, there are hundreds of thousands of choices and preferences. If we impose it but people do not want it, then the information will not reach them. I really understand what the director said. We must have expertise, research and a more reasonable approach to communication .

In addition, Mr. Nguyen Van Binh affirmed that he will do better in organizing chess tournaments. In addition, the calculation of elo coefficients is also being studied further.

Mr. Nguyen Van Binh was elected by the Congress as President of the Vietnam Chess Federation for the 2023-2028 term. Previously, in the first term, Mr. Nguyen Van Binh was Vice President in charge of communications of the Vietnam Chess Federation. Mr. Nguyen Van Binh and the members of the executive committee have made many contributions to developing the domestic chess movement, increasing competition and improving the achievements of Vietnamese players in international tournaments.

The Executive Committee of the 2nd term has 33 members. Of which, 9 members belong to the Standing Committee with 1 chairman, 6 vice chairmen, 1 general secretary and head of the inspection committee.

To end the congress, Mr. Nguyen Van Binh read the closing speech: " After 2 days of urgency, democracy, solidarity and high sense of responsibility, the Congress discussed and approved the charter of the Vietnam Chess Federation for the second term and elected the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and key positions of the federation with high concentration and trust.

With the above results, we can affirm that the second term congress was a great success. The success of the congress affirmed the correctness of the Party and State's policy of socializing sports activities, contributing positively to the development of the country's culture, sports and tourism.

The Congress would like to sincerely thank the valuable contributions of the leaders, delegates and members of the executive committee. We will accept and concretize them in the working content of the federation in the next term .
