On the morning of January 28, the Phan Thiet Open Chess Tournament to celebrate the Year of the Dragon - 2024 took place enthusiastically at the Ky Dao Phan Thiet Coffee Shop. This tournament was attended by nearly 30 players from Phan Thiet, Bac Binh, and Ham Thuan Nam Chess Clubs.

In the future, we also want to accompany many other local sports tournaments to build and develop the movement . "
The Chess tournament is played according to the Swiss system of 7 games, the playing time for each game, each player is 15 minutes. How to calculate points for 1 game: Win 1 point, draw 0.5 points, lose 0 points . After 7 games, the points will be calculated, the players with higher scores will be selected to the next round , if the score is the same, the score will be calculated according to the progressive coefficient.
Recently, chess tournaments have been held in many localities, aiming to build and develop the movement. From there, it will promote the establishment of a Chess Federation in the province, to select players with the opportunity to compete in localities inside and outside the province.
