Mr. Lam Ha, a paragliding athlete, said when experiencing flying on the coast of Hong Mountain: “This is a not-so-high mountain located close to the coast, uniquely created by nature, the rocky mountain is covered with a wild, majestic “coat” of volcanic sediments from millions of years ago. Over time, the sea wind has brought pink sand and white sand up to the mountainside, creating sandy depressions between the cliffs and the deep green forests. Therefore, the locals often call it by the rustic name “Hon Hong”. Flying from above, looking down at the bushes covering Hong Mountain, mixed between the green of the forest are the red, white of the sand, and the blue of the sea. At the foot of the mountain is a curved beach embraced by the blue of the vast ocean, creating a beautiful natural picture…”.

On the coastline along the foot of Hong Mountain, more than 10 kilometers long, there are clean and beautiful beaches named after the characteristics of each beach such as: Oc Beach, Ganh Beach, Xep Beach, Doi Beach, Chua Beach. Right at the foot of Hong Mountain is Xep Beach with many rocky cliffs stacked on top of each other in diverse shapes. The white-capped waves crash strongly against the cliffs, creating white foam, especially in the stormy season, Hong Mountain stands tall as if "challenging" the harshest things of nature. In the sunny and windy season, on the pristine Hong Mountain, with long stretches of desert sand, sparse patches of green forest trees. However, the location, height and wind direction have created an ideal space for Hong Mountain that has attracted many people who love adventure, discovering new things, especially the sport of paragliding.

Mr. Hoang Hai Long, living in Hoa Thang commune, shared: “On summer days, Hong Mountain becomes absolutely beautiful. From Hong Mountain, dozens of paragliders take off like giant eagles flying out to the ocean and then slowly landing on the beach at the foot of the mountain.”
