She recalled the memorable roles of the legendary Kim Cuong, especially the two roles in "The Lady of the Camellias" and "The Durian Leaf". If Y Lan of "The Lady of the Camellias" is a famous dancer in Saigon, then Miss Dieu in "The Durian Leaf" is a hard-working mother from the countryside, living in poverty but raising her children to be educated and successful.

"These are two completely different characters in terms of fate and personality, but the most common point between them is their kindness and tolerance. The noble sacrifice of a woman when she is a wife and a mother. I loved these two roles of Kim Cuong, because the drama theme she exploited is close to people's lives, talking about the status of women in society" - People's Artist Le Thuy expressed.

For People's Artist Kim Cuong, in the upcoming performance, which can be considered her last performance before leaving the stage, she wants to devote all her emotions to talking about her mother.

"The ancient song by composer Vien Chau reminds me of my mother, which will be beautifully and solemnly recreated through precious documentary footage, along with the sweet voice of Le Thuy. The audience has watched the play "Sardine Leaves" many times and could not hold back their tears through my mother's performance, but who knows that my mother is the most solid support for me to have enough strength to overcome many difficulties, stick with the stage and create roles that are well received by the public" - People's Artist Kim Cuong shared.

People's Artist Vien Chau wrote three vọng cổ verses to express the feelings of People's Artist Kim Cuong when her beloved mother passed away. These vọng cổ verses will certainly make the audience emotional because up to this point, no artist has dared to replace People's Artist Bay Nam in the roles of mothers, including the role of Mrs. Tu, mother of Miss Dieu (play "Sour Leaf").

"Perhaps that is the reason why up to now, Ms. Kim Cuong has not allowed any art troupe to stage the play "Sour Leaf", except for the Golden Stage that Mr. Minh Vuong and I established in 2007, with the aim of building charity houses for the poor. I have transformed into the role of Miss Dieu on the cai luong stage, so singing this traditional song is even more meaningful. Because I see Miss Dieu in myself through the composition of Mr. Vien Chau" - People's Artist Le Thuy said.
