Experiential activities and summer camps usually last from 3 to 10 days, with prices ranging from 500,000 VND to 9 million VND, depending on the time, scale, and location. In addition, there are many programs that last 1 month or throughout the 3 summer months, with prices from 10 million VND/course or more.
Ms. Pham Phuong Thao (Green Aca Life Skills Center, headquartered in Hanoi) said that when building the program of experiential activities and summer camps, the Center aims at the goal that after participating in activities, studying and experiencing, children can confidently explore the life around them, gain more life skills, survival skills, teamwork skills...
Ms. Phuong Thao added that a trend that many parents are interested in recently is career guidance activities, allowing children to experience a number of careers during the summer.

"I have noticed that my children's current curriculum has changed quite significantly. At school, they have activities that equip them with life skills and learn about Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Therefore, when looking for summer activities for my children, I focus on experiential activities that they have not had the opportunity to learn at school or at home.
This year, I found the career guidance and industry experience programs quite interesting, helping children have an overview of a specific industry while also providing job experience activities and career counseling," said Ms. Ta Khanh Chi, a parent in Ho Chi Minh City.
To meet the needs of parents and students, this summer, life skills centers, vocational education centers, etc. have launched many career guidance programs. Ms. Nguyen Thi Hao, Director of the Hanoi Center for Vocational Education and Women's Development Support, said that the Center has developed a 2024 summer career guidance program to introduce to parents training and education programs combined with talent training.
The Center’s skill training classes and practical learning programs aim to create a useful and interesting playground for children. Some summer career orientation activities at the Center that parents can refer to include: Junior chef classes, bakers, makeup artists, flower arrangement artists, etc.
In order for children to have fun and meaningful experiences from summer activities, parents need to carefully research information about the learning and experience programs suitable for their children's age and the facilities of the organizing unit.
