With a rich ecosystem, Vietnam is considered a country with great potential for cultivating and developing rare and precious medicinal plants and herbs. The journey to preserve Vietnam's precious medicinal herbs is still arduous, but with the passion and desire to develop the domestic medicinal herbs and pharmaceutical industry, the people of Central Vietnam are determined to continue to develop the traditional medicine industry, which is the treasure of the Vietnamese people.

Author Le Minh Son has captured the images of those who work to preserve precious medicinal herbs through the photo album "People who preserve the "treasure" of medicinal herbs in the Central region of the Fatherland". The photo series was submitted by the author to
the Happy Vietnam Photo and Video Contest, organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications.

Blending into the green of the majestic Pu Tieng range in Muong Long commune (Ky Son, Nghe An) are countless rare medicinal herbs.

With its unique climate conditions, Muong Long is suitable for preserving and propagating precious medicinal herbs. To get the "sweet fruit" like today, hundreds of staff and engineers of the Muong Long Center for Preservation and Development of Medicinal Herbs have spent days and nights forgetting to eat and losing sleep with medicinal herbs. The land does not disappoint people. The drops of sweat on the dark cheeks falling on the arid land have sprouted lush seedlings. Currently, this place has propagated and preserved 40 types of medicinal herbs, making Muong Long one of the important medicinal herb centers of Vietnam. According to statistics from the Institute of Medicinal Herbs, Vietnam has recorded over 5,000 species of plants and fungi, 408 species of animals and 75 types of minerals with medicinal uses. Many medicinal herbs are valuable for their medicinal uses and economic value.
