Pay attention to planning, ensuring standard school and classroom area

 

Planning for education and training development and mobilizing resources for investment are two important tasks in implementing Resolution No. 29-NQ/TW. Over the past 10 years (from 2013 to 2023), the provincial budget has invested nearly 1.1 trillion VND in building facilities for high schools and continuing education; building more than 1.3 thousand new preschool classrooms; developing the network of vocational education institutions towards building high-quality schools and increasing the scale of training.

In addition to the achieved results, there are still some limitations in planning and investment work such as: The school network in some places is not reasonable; the implementation of the Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 after being approved by the Prime Minister, still faces many difficulties and obstacles due to the lack of educational land quotas; many local schools have not yet met standards in terms of school and classroom area; the investment budget for education and training has not met the needs...

To create a breakthrough and continue to fundamentally and comprehensively innovate education and training in the spirit of Resolution No. 29, in the planning and investment work in the coming time, all levels, sectors and localities will focus on reviewing and adjusting the education and training development plan in the provincial planning, sectoral and regional planning, district-level land use planning and other related planning.

In particular, pay special attention to completing the school network and the need to use land to meet the prescribed standards. Continue to research and issue investment support mechanisms and policies to mobilize and orient investment resources in a focused and key direction. Increase the mobilization of investment resources for facilities and equipment for schools to meet standards, especially promoting investment attraction for non-public investment projects, contributing to diversifying investment resources for education.

Prioritize investment resources for education

Over the past 10 years, Viet Yen district has mobilized social resources to build 331 new classrooms and functional rooms, and purchase nearly 1,300 new computers, printers, and teaching equipment with a total cost of more than 245.2 billion VND.

The source of funds mobilized from organizations, businesses and individuals for the work of praising and rewarding students reached 4.3 billion VND.

Thanks to that, the rate of solidification and classrooms in the district has reached 100%, contributing to solving the shortage of preschool classes in the overloaded conditions of the key industrial area. In the period of 2015-2020, the whole district has established 9 new private preschools and 40 private independent facilities with 89 private independent nursery groups and kindergarten classes.

To achieve these results, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee has applied many solutions to promote socialization in investment in school facilities. First of all, it is important to pay attention to innovating propaganda work, thoroughly disseminating policies to key officials of the district, communes, towns, cadres, party members, the Fatherland Front and associations and organizations. From there, it creates consensus among the entire political system, mobilizing maximum sources of contributions and funding for education and training.

Based on the current situation and needs of educational institutions and the actual conditions of the locality, the district directs agencies and units to develop appropriate mobilization plans and effectively promote resources. To ensure publicity and transparency, the district focuses on the supervisory role of functional agencies, people and businesses on socialized capital sources; encourages organizations and individuals to invest in building private kindergartens to meet the childcare needs of the workforce in industrial parks and clusters in the area.

Focus on creating resources and improving the quality of training excellent students nationally and internationally

In recent years, the results of training excellent students of Bac Giang High School for the Gifted have often been in the top 15/63 provinces and cities in terms of the number of awards, with students winning regional and international Olympic prizes, highly appreciated by the Ministry of Education and Training.

The school identifies early detection and selection of gifted students as an important step. To create a source of gifted students for training, Bac Giang High School for the Gifted and other high-quality key secondary schools have focused on developing a joint curriculum for specialized subjects; enhancing the exchange and sharing of experiences in teaching; directing professional groups and teams to select competent and experienced teachers to undertake the task of training and nurturing gifted students.

During the training process, the school identifies teachers as companions who not only equip students with knowledge and skills, but also encourage, advise, and guide them to achieve the best knowledge, skills, and psychology before each exam.

Currently, the school builds standards for a teaching hour, organizes a variety of learning forms, in which it highly values ​​creating interest and developing thinking, forming self-study and self-research methods for learners.

In fact, the above learning methods are actively responded to by students and bring about effectiveness. The school focuses on socialization and mobilizes resources to promptly reward and encourage students to achieve high academic achievements.

With many synchronous solutions, the quality of training gifted students has achieved high results. In the year 2022-2023 alone, the school has 59 students winning prizes in the national gifted student competition, including 4 first prizes, 14 second prizes, 16 third prizes, 25 encouragement prizes; 3 students won medals in regional and international Olympic competitions.
