More than a month has passed since the devastating flash flood that occurred on the morning of September 9 in Lang Nu village, Phuc Khanh commune (Bao Yen district, Lao Cai province), and people here have returned to their daily lives at their temporary shelter.

Although the pain and loss still exist, in the temporary housing area of ​​Lang Nu in mid-October, there were newly planted flower trees.

25 roofs - temporary shelters of the people of Lang Nu showed the solidarity of the village. Although the loss was not yet over, the people shared and encouraged each other to overcome the difficult period.

Mr. Hoang Ngoc Xu, Secretary of Lang Nu village, said that the lives of the villagers have temporarily stabilized. Children have returned to school, while adults have also returned to work.

Having lost his home and family in the devastating flash flood more than a month ago, Nguyen Van Diet (31 years old), currently living in Lang Nu temporary shelter, shared that the pain has not yet subsided, but now he must put it aside to look forward to life ahead.

According to Mr. Diet, the people in the temporary shelter, after taking care of the funeral of their loved ones, have gradually stabilized their spirits. Everyone together planted flowers around the house and renovated the vegetable garden to improve their meals.

Ms. Vu Thi Tu, Secretary of the Party Committee of Phuc Khanh commune, said that over the past month, together with the local government, the social community has paid great attention to the lives of the people of Lang Nu.

Ms. Tu said: "People's lives have gradually stabilized. Everyone is waiting for the day to move to the new resettlement area with 40 solid roofs. At the same time, agricultural farming positions to create stable livelihoods for people are also being deployed."
