Ca Mau province has just organized a trade connection for domestic and foreign import enterprises with seafood processing enterprises and OCOP products of the province.


On November 14, the People's Committee of Ca Mau province organized a trade connection activity for a delegation of domestic and international businesses to Ca Mau to survey the market and connect trade in 2024.

This activity is directed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in coordination with the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, assigned to the Center for Investment Promotion and Enterprise Support of Ca Mau province to directly implement.

The trade connection activities aim to create conditions for businesses in Ca Mau province to meet partners, seek business cooperation opportunities, expand markets as well as create conditions for businesses, importers, domestic and foreign investors to find sources of imported goods and quality products of Ca Mau province.

The market survey will be held for 2 days, November 14 and 15, with the expected participation of representatives of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, departments, branches, and localities in the province; Vietnam Trade Office in Singapore, Japan, China, and the United States. Especially, there will be the participation of import enterprises from Singapore, China, Malaysia, Korea, Japan, India, Hong Kong (China) and large domestic supermarket chains (AEON, Coopmart, Central Retail, Bach Hoa Xanh, Kingfood Mart), import-export companies, associations, business support organizations; seafood processing and exporting enterprises, OCOP product manufacturing, and specialties in Ca Mau province.

During the pre-market survey session (November 14), representatives of major domestic supermarket chains such as AEON, Coopmart, Central Retail, Bach Hoa Xanh, Kingfood Mart visited and surveyed the production process of OCOP products of agricultural products, shrimp, and ecological crab at Tai Thinh Phat Cooperative and the shrimp processing and export line at Camimex Group Seafood Company.

During the survey, representatives of supermarket chains also shared their needs and desires to connect trade with Ca Mau's seafood products, including frozen shrimp and value-added products from shrimp, and local OCOP agricultural products.

The survey helps businesses on the buyer side have a more general and realistic view of the cooperation potential and product quality of processing facilities and factories in Ca Mau province.

Within the framework of this trade connection activity, tomorrow (November 15), Ca Mau province will organize the Conference on Connecting and Promoting Trade of Agricultural and Aquatic Products of Ca Mau Province 2024.

The conference will focus on discussing and introducing the potential and opportunities for exporting Ca Mau's key products; opportunities and challenges for exports in 2024 and the following years; potential and notes for exports to Singapore, Japan, China, and the United States; market demand for Ca Mau OCOP products; signing memorandums of understanding between businesses;...

In particular, the conference will have space to visit and display OCOP products, aquatic products, agriculture, and specialties of businesses in Ca Mau province.
