1. On the opening day of Aeon Mall Hue, the attraction of this shopping center was huge. Not only locals but also tourists coming to Hue stopped by to shop and visit.
It is also true that this is the largest shopping center in the Central region, an ideal place to experience shopping space. In addition, other entertainment facilities are also invested synchronously, luxuriously and modernly.
On the opening day, Mr. Ohno Keiji, Chairman of Aeon Mall Joint Stock Company, said that Aeon Mall Hue harmoniously blends Japanese and Hue cultural values. Aeon Mall Hue promises to bring many new values and new experiences to customers of all ages. And the goal of this shopping center is to become a familiar address, a regular destination for customers.
Indeed, right on the website of Aeon Mall Hue, in addition to introducing areas, products, images of Hue, Hue's attractions are also integrated. "When traveling to Hue, in addition to visiting historical sites and experiencing the cuisine of the ancient capital, we also experience Aeon Mall Hue. This is a modern and convenient shopping center, not only meeting consumer needs, but also a place for entertainment; especially, right in the shopping center, many places
Check-in is very interesting. Hopefully this will be one of the typical places of Hue every time tourists visit", Ms. Hoang Thanh Thu Thuong (Son Tra district, Da Nang city) shared.
Aeon Mall Hue is also one of the key projects that the city's leaders pay special attention to, as the stimulus for consumption and trade growth from this project is quite clear. Data from the City People's Committee shows that in 2024, trade will grow quite well, with total retail sales of goods and social consumer services estimated at VND 59,000 billion, up 18.5% over the same period. The average consumer price index increased by 4.05% over the same period.
In addition to Aeon Mall Hue, many key projects in the city have come into operation, creating many breakthroughs for economic growth, especially in the industrial sector.
According to the City People's Committee, in 2024, the industrial production value is estimated to reach 48,500 billion VND (at comparable prices), an increase of 9.4% over the same period. Some key industrial production sectors have achieved good growth rates. Typically, Kim Long Motors Hue Production and Assembly Complex (phase 1 - capacity of 3,500 units/year), Phu Son Waste-to-Energy Plant, Scavi 3 Garment Factory, AMP Vietnam Garment Factory, Gilimex (phase 1, phase 1), Plastic product manufacturing factory of Malpensa Plant Vietnam Project;...
2. To achieve economic breakthroughs from key projects, the city has made great efforts in attracting investment; creating maximum conditions for investors to implement projects.
Besides, key industrial sectors are also maintained, helping the city's economic picture have many bright colors, typically the textile industry.
In the context of strong fluctuations in the global economy and declining consumer demand, the textile and garment industry also faces fierce competition and strict standards from the US and EU, but the textile and garment sector in the area still maintains its growth momentum.
Nguyen Tien Hau, Deputy General Director of Hue Textile and Garment Joint Stock Company, said that the achievement was thanks to optimizing the production process and implementing comprehensive digital transformation solutions. Productivity and product quality improvement programs were also strongly promoted, not only meeting market demand, but also creating new values, enhancing sustainable competitive advantages. “In 2024, Hue Textile and Garment Joint Stock Company's revenue will be more than VND 1,991 billion, reaching 103.7% of the plan, up 5.7% compared to 2023; profit of VND 134.4 billion, completing 122.2% of the plan and up 11% over the same period. We continue to set goals to be determined to complete the 2025 production and business plan with revenue of VND 2,070 billion and profit of VND 140 billion. We also aim for sustainable development with a focus on technological innovation, productivity improvement, and market expansion,” Mr. Nguyen Tien Hau informed.
Currently, the city is aiming for double-digit growth in 2025. To solve this "problem", the contribution of large projects and enterprises that have been and are operating plays an important role. For the city, overcoming infrastructure difficulties is a priority. Because, currently, the technical infrastructure system of economic zones and industrial parks (IPs) is still not really synchronous, in which, the lack of wastewater treatment systems in IPs has significantly affected investment attraction.
According to Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Van Phuong, the city will continue to support the progress of projects that will soon come into operation to create new capacity and breakthrough development such as: Kim Long Motor Hue Production and Assembly Complex (phase 2), Kanglongda Hue Factory, Vinasilica Sand Processing and Artificial Stone Production Factory, Creanza High-Tech Quartz Sand Processing Factory, Dat Phuong Super White Glass Factory, Frit Enamel Factory, Chan May Steel Factory No. 1 Project. In addition, support to accelerate the progress of industrial infrastructure development investment projects such as: Gilimex Industrial Park, Saigon - Chan May Industrial Park and Non-Tax Zone, La Son Industrial Park; industrial clusters: Binh Thanh, Dien Loc and Dien Loc 2.
“The city will organize investment promotion programs, calling for branded investors to invest in the industrial sector, urban industrial park infrastructure and seaport exploitation; prioritizing green processing and manufacturing sectors, reducing emissions,” affirmed Chairman of the City People’s Committee Nguyen Van Phuong.
