Over thousands of years, Vu Lan festival has been deeply engraved in the minds of the Vietnamese people, with the morality of drinking water, remembering its source, becoming a "filial piety festival" for Buddhists and the people.
This year, according to the announcement, Vu Lan festival will be held from the first to the fifteenth day of the seventh lunar month.
Ba Pagoda system will be decorated brilliantly to celebrate Vu Lan festival.
The program will be organized on a large scale and solemnly, with many activities and sacred experiences at the Ba Mountain pagoda complex and the Ba Den Mountain peak area, from August 26 to September 3 (ie from July 11 to 19 of the lunar calendar).
At the Ba Mountain Pagoda system, the Vu Lan ceremony will be held on September 2-3 (July 18-19 of the lunar calendar), in the grounds of Long Chau Phuoc Trung Pagoda. During the entire seventh lunar month, the Ba Pagoda complex will also be brightly decorated with Buddhist flags, lotus lanterns, etc., creating a sacred festival space to welcome Buddhists and visitors to come and pay their respects to Linh Son Thanh Mau Bodhisattva, praying for peace and luck for their parents.
On the top of Ba Den Mountain, a Buddhist cultural and artistic program celebrating Vu Lan Festival will be held with many unique cultural and artistic performances and solemn rituals according to Buddhist culture, during 2 days, August 26-27 (July 11-12, Quy Mao year).

Also within the framework of the program, visitors and Buddhists attending will be given roses by venerable monks (nuns), to perform the flower pinning ceremony on their chest, expressing their respect to their parents, remembering the deceased and honoring those still living with their children and grandchildren.

Immediately after that, the lantern offering parade ceremony will take place at 6 pm on August 26 and 27 (ie July 11-12 of the lunar calendar), for Buddhists and tourists to practice the act of gratitude and filial piety to their parents.
