Sacred lamp offering ceremony at the highest mountain in the South
Offering lanterns is a unique ritual on the top of Ba Den Mountain, an experience that any visitor would want to participate in many times a year when coming to this sacred mountain.
In early spring, the lantern offering ceremony always attracts thousands of participants, creating an extremely magical and sparkling space on the highest mountain in the South. At the foot of the Buddha statue of Tay Bo Da Son, the tallest in Asia, lanterns with wishes written by visitors are lit. Groups of people take turns offering their New Year wishes to the Buddhas, walking around the Prajna Sutra pillar and releasing lanterns into a large water dish in the large square, creating an extremely sacred ritual.
