The competition for political instructors of the 15th Army Corps was carefully prepared many months in advance with the close attention and direction of the Party Committee and commanders at all levels. Major Nguyen Thi Thuy, Political Assistant of Company 732 (Army Corps 15) shared that she came to the contest with the purpose of learning knowledge, practicing skills, and teaching methods so that she can teach better in the future. The subjects that Ms. Thuy often teaches are workers and laborers attending Party awareness training classes, with uneven levels of education.
“I have to concretize knowledge into slides on Powerpoint software so that learners can easily absorb, remember, and follow. To participate in the contest and practice teaching at my unit, I have learned and practiced this skill a lot,” Ms. Thuy emphasized.
Major Tran Ngoc Hiep, Political Commissar of the 79th Economic-Defense Group (15th Army Corps), who won second prize in the contest, said: "The key to a successful lecture is to master the content and use appropriate, engaging and attractive methods for learners. At the contest, many comrades demonstrated very good methods, which shows that they have researched and mastered the content, and are proficient in methods and pedagogical skills."
According to Colonel Khuat Ba Cao, Party Committee Secretary, Deputy Commander of the 15th Corps, this year's Corps competition is both a competition and a learning, testing and re-examination of the unit's political teaching staff. At the end of the contest, the 15th Corps Command awarded first, second and third prizes to groups and individuals; prizes for excellent lecture preparation, excellent lecture teaching and other prizes.
