Colonel Le Xuan Phuong, Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of Corps 15 and Colonel Kham Hang Xay Mung Khun, Deputy Director of the Department of Base Construction, General Department of Politics of the Lao People's Army co-chaired the conference.

Also attending the conference were representatives of a number of agencies of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense and the Lao Ministry of National Defense; functional agencies of the 15th Army Corps and leaders and agencies of Vocational College No. 21 (Army Corps 15).

During the 3-month period, 50 officers of the Lao Ministry of National Defense will be trained by Vocational College No. 21 in advanced knowledge, techniques, and technologies in cultivation and animal husbandry suitable to the socio-economic conditions, climate, and soil of the neighboring country. In particular, the content and training program will combine theory and practice, visits, and experience exchanges at companies, factories, and plants of Army Corps 15.

Speaking at the conference, Colonel Le Xuan Phuong said that with the attention of the leaders of the Ministry of National Defense and the functional agencies of the two countries' Ministries of National Defense, this is the second consecutive year that the 15th Corps has provided agricultural training for Lao Ministry of National Defense officers. This activity not only helps Laos have human resources for socio-economic development but also contributes to strengthening and consolidating the special solidarity and friendship between the Party, State, Army and people of Vietnam and Laos.

The Chief of Staff of the 15th Corps affirmed that Vocational College No. 21 and the Command and agencies of the 15th Corps have prepared the best facilities, teachers, documents, and lesson plans so that the training course can achieve the highest quality and efficiency. At the same time, he hoped that the trainees would actively study and grasp the knowledge so that they can later apply it to the socio-economic development of the locality. Actively propagate and mobilize people to foster solidarity between the two countries.

Colonel Le Xuan Phuong presented gifts to the working delegation of the Lao Ministry of National Defense.

Colonel Kham Hang Xay Mung Khun thanked the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense and Corps 15 for helping the Lao army and people train cadres and carry out many social security activities. According to Colonel Kham Hang Xay Mung Khun, the 2022 training course was highly appreciated by the Lao government and Ministry of National Defense; after being trained, the cadres have applied their knowledge and experience well to socio-economic development in Lao localities. This time, of the 50 students sent by the Lao Ministry of National Defense to Corps 15 for training, 24 are currently working in the army, 10 are from the agricultural department, and 16 are cadres from villages, clusters of villages, and youth from 10 districts of provinces bordering Vietnam.

At the conference, the two sides signed a handover and receipt record and exchanged gifts of their homeland's specialties.
