Musician La Van Cuong passed away at the age of 67.
The news of musician La Van Cuong's death on November 30th has left relatives, colleagues and fans in mourning. On his personal page, musician Tran Que Son said that 4 days ago, he had a coffee with musician La Van Cuong to discuss a post-Tet live show for him. Therefore, musician Tran Que Son was extremely shocked by the sudden passing of his colleague.

He is one of the few great musicians from Quang Nam with a few hundred songs, some of which are sung by many audiences such as Co doi khi, Vuon yeu, Roi co luc, Tim bong ... Musician La Van Cuong's melodies and lyrics are quite good, have a long life... A group of friends are planning to hold a farewell concert for him in the near future".

According to the obituary, musician La Van Cuong's funeral was held at Vinh Nghiem Pagoda. The burial ceremony took place at noon on November 30, and the funeral was held on the morning of November 2. After that, his coffin was cremated at Binh Hung Hoa, Ho Chi Minh City.
Musician La Van Cuong was born in 1957, originally from Hanoi. He started writing music in the 1970s, working at the same time as musicians such as Nguyen Duc Trung, Le Van Loc... From the style of a young volunteer writing music, La Van Cuong not only has songs calling for national construction, but his music is also full of youthful love desires. In 1976, the musician rose to fame in the music world with the song On the Road of Life, a song in the movie Gem in Stone. This is considered one of the songs associated with the youth volunteer force.
Musician La Van Cuong also held the position of director of Lang Ong - Ba Chieu relic site. During his career, he composed more than 400 songs in many different genres, leaving an impression on audiences through songs such as Co doi khi, Vuon yeu, Ngoc biec, Khuc chia xa, Dinh menh, Ngon ut trai tim, Tim bong... Notably, his most famous songs were all performed by singer Hong Nhung.
