Vietnam Golden Ball 2024 named Tien Linh
During the gala night solemnly held at Ben Thanh Theater (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City), striker Nguyen Tien Linh was honored to receive the title of Vietnam Golden Ball 2024, surpassing his close friend Nguyen Hoang Duc (Silver Ball) and striker Pham Tuan Hai (Bronze Ball).
The 2024 Vietnam Golden Ball award is a recognition of the relentless efforts of Tien Linh, who missed the 2018 U.23 Asian Cup due to a serious injury. Brought to Singapore for treatment by Binh Duong Club, he has returned strongly, exploding with 15 goals in the 2018 V-League.
Since then, the striker born in 1997 has always strived to improve his weaknesses to become the leading striker of Vietnamese football. In 2024 alone, Tien Linh scored 23 goals for Binh Duong Club and the Vietnam national team, including 4 goals in the 2024 AFF Cup championship.

At the moment of coronation, Tien Linh was emotional: "First of all, Tien Linh would like to send sincere thanks to the fans and those who voted for me and always supported me during the past time. I thank my family for always being by my side and encouraging me in difficult times.
Over the years, I have won many AFF Cup and SEA Games titles with the national team. But all those times, my whole family watched from afar on television. Today, my family is here, witnessing with their own eyes me winning the 2024 Vietnam Golden Ball title.
I would like to sincerely thank the leaders of Becamex IDC Group, Becamex Binh Duong Football Joint Stock Company from the board of directors, the coaching staff, my teammates at the club as well as the national team who have always helped me. Without everyone, I certainly would not be able to stand here and lift this title."

Regarding the most prestigious individual title of Vietnamese football, the captain of Binh Duong Club shared: "I would like to thank those who created the Vietnam Golden Ball program, so that players like us have more motivation to compete and contribute to our home clubs as well as Vietnamese football.
The 2024 Vietnam Golden Ball Award will be a great encouragement and motivation for me personally in the near future, to aim for the next goals with Binh Duong Club and the Vietnam team."
Up to now, Tien Linh is leading the scoring list in V-League 2024 - 2025 with 10 goals, including a series of consecutive goals in the last 3 matches. Up to now, the striker born in 1997 has had 102 professional goals (77 goals for Binh Duong Club) and 25 goals for the Vietnam national team.
