Dubbed as a “tour to discover Tay Ninh in the heart of Hanoi”, Tay Ninh Day in Hanoi is an event that many people in the capital look forward to because of the “unique” cultural experiences imbued with the identity of the land famous for young beef and rice paper. This is the third year of organization, Tay Ninh Day in Hanoi 2023 will continue to vividly and authentically recreate the beauty of the wild, sacred and culturally colorful land of the Southeast region.

The opening night of Tay Ninh Day in Hanoi will officially take place at 8pm on Saturday, October 7 in front of Ba Kieu Temple (the intersection of Dinh Tien Hoang and Hang Dau streets, Hoan Kiem district, in front of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports). It is expected to be an exciting Saturday evening at Hoan Kiem Lake walking street, with an attractive art program. In particular, famous intangible cultural heritages of Tay Ninh and the South will be performed by artisans in Tay Ninh on the opening night.

Mr. Tran Anh Minh - Director of Tay Ninh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism shared: “On this occasion, we will introduce to the people of the Capital the national intangible cultural heritages, which are the pride of Tay Ninh in particular and the South in general. I believe that enjoying and interacting with the art of Don ca tai tu or Chhay-dam drum dance performed by artisans in Tay Ninh and the South, right in the center of Hanoi, will be an extremely interesting practical experience for the people of the Capital”.

The special art program will continue to be performed at the Octagonal House area (behind the statue of King Ly Thai To - in the Ly Thai To flower garden, Hoan Kiem district) on Sunday evening, October 8.

During the 2-day event, visitors to Ly Thai To Flower Garden will be able to explore the beauty of Tay Ninh through a unique art exhibition, with hundreds of photos of landscapes, craft villages, and people of Tay Ninh past and present. Visitors will also be able to admire famous destinations in Tay Ninh such as the Cao Dai Holy See, the Central Bureau of the South, Dau Tieng Lake, Ma Thien Lanh... and especially Ba Den Mountain - the highest mountain in the South, known as "the first heavenly mountain", also one of the most sacred mountains in Vietnam with a system of magnificent spiritual structures.

Many interesting interactive activities promise to create attractive real-life experiences for visitors at this event, such as checking in at famous destinations, trying out Southern folk singing with artists, or dancing to the vibrant tunes of Chhay-dam drum dance...

At Le Thach and Le Lai streets, many booths displaying industrial - agricultural - commercial products will be a place for visitors to explore the unique culinary culture, with dishes recognized as national intangible cultural heritage such as sun-dried rice paper, shrimp salt... and specialties bearing the Tay Ninh brand such as bird's nest, custard apple...

Within the framework of the event, the Tourism Promotion Conference will be held on the afternoon of October 8, aiming to introduce the potential and advantages of Tay Ninh tourism, connecting tourism businesses in Hanoi and Tay Ninh to create attractive tours, inviting tourists to explore the multi-cultural land just over 2 hours by car from Ho Chi Minh City. The Tourism Promotion Conference and Tay Ninh Day in Hanoi are expected to be a major event to further strengthen the relationship, promote economic, cultural and tourism development between Hanoi and Tay Ninh, thereby opening up the potentials, investment advantages, development of trade services, tourism products of Tay Ninh province...

According to the latest statistics in the first 6 months of the year, Tay Ninh ranked 2nd in economic growth in the Southeast region, of which tourism is a bright spot. It is estimated that in the first 9 months of 2023, Tay Ninh welcomed 4.2 million visitors with revenue increasing by 49.7% over the same period. In particular, the Ba Den Mountain Tourist Area alone, invested by Sun Group, is estimated to have attracted about 4 million visitors in the first 9 months of this year.
