Kylian Mbappe suddenly sent a letter announcing his refusal to renew his contract with PSG

The reason came from Kylian Mbappe suddenly sending a letter refusing to extend his contract for another year with the Paris team in the early morning of June 13.

Mbappe's deal with PSG expires in 2024, but there is a clause in the contract between the two parties to extend the contract until 2025. However, this clause is entirely up to the French striker to decide.

According to L'Equipe , Mbappe has sent the French champions an official letter informing them that he will not activate that clause under any circumstances.

PSG's board of directors was extremely angry with Mbappe's decision, because the Paris capital team will lose the 25-year-old striker for free in the transfer window next year.

Previously, PSG were very confident that Mbappe would sign a one-year contract extension, but in the end their favorite player changed his mind at the last minute.

The French striker renewed his contract with PSG in May 2022 with a salary of nearly 1.5 million Euros per week. This income is higher than Lionel Messi and Neymar, the club's other top stars, and also three times higher than center-back Sergio Ramos.

If he completes the 2022/23 season, Mbappe will receive 72 million Euros in salary. Meanwhile, if he complies with his contract with PSG until 2025, this striker will have a total of 216 million Euros. That does not include the loyalty fee of 70 million Euros for each year this striker plays for the Ligue 1 club.

According to French media, in order not to lose Mbappe for free next year, PSG is forced to act quickly by selling Mbappe this summer. Notably, the Paris capital team will sell Mbappe to any club if they feel the price is right, except Real Madrid.

PSG wants to respond to Mbappe when they understand that the French striker's biggest dream is to join Real Madrid. Two years ago, Real Madrid offered to buy Mbappe for 200 million Euros but was still rejected by PSG.

If Mbappe leaves, it means PSG could lose their entire front line, considered the "atomic trio", as Lionel Messi will go to Inter Miami and Neymar is about to leave.

Fans hope MU will have Kylian Mbappe

Red Devils fans are hopeful the club will sign Kylian Mbappe after the transfer news emerged alongside reports that Qatari billionaire Sheikh Jassim is set to take over United.

Many MU fans are excited about the prospect that the club will soon fall into the hands of a new owner, Qatari banking billionaire Sheikh Jassim, and the first high-profile transfer deal will be to recruit Mbappe.

A fan tweeted: "If the Qatari owner takes over MU, we will sign Mbappe."

Others also chimed in: "The news that Mbappe left PSG and MU was about to change to a new owner in Qatar was announced at the same time. Is this a coincidence?"

Another Red Devils fan hopes: "Sheikh Jassim buying back MU and Mbappe coming to Old Trafford is all I want to hear."

According to Al-Watan newspaper (Qatar) owned by billionaire Sheikh Jassim's father, the deal to buy MU is about to be completed.

The tweet said: "Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani has succeeded in buying Manchester United. The deal will be announced soon."
