* Can you share more about the goals and significance of this event?
- Mr. Tran Anh Minh: Held on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of the liberation of the capital, "Tay Ninh Day in Hanoi" is an important event for Hanoi and Tay Ninh to further strengthen their relationship, promote economic, cultural and tourism development between the two provinces and cities.
This is the third time Tay Ninh province has organized "Tay Ninh Day in Hanoi". With a series of cultural and artistic activities, tourism promotion conferences, photo exhibitions, and displays of agricultural, industrial and commercial products, tourism products and services, the event will contribute to introducing and promoting the image, homeland, people, unique features of Tay Ninh's history, culture and tourism to the people of Hanoi in particular, the people of the whole country and international tourists in general.
We also expect this event to continuously open up potentials, investment advantages, trade and service development, tourism products of Tay Ninh... From there, creating impressions and opportunities for cooperation between businesses, aiming to attract more investment to Tay Ninh.
*How attractive will the people of the capital see Tay Ninh through this event, sir?
-We hope to bring real experiences to visitors attending the event. Visiting the booths at the event site is like you are taking a tour to fully explore Tay Ninh right in the heart of Hanoi, with famous destinations such as Ba Den Mountain, Cao Dai Holy See, the Central Office of the South... and cultural, historical, spiritual, culinary characteristics... vividly recreated through large-scale art performances, unique art exhibitions and many booths displaying products and services. You will clearly feel a sacred, pristine Tay Ninh with a unique cultural color.
On this occasion, we will introduce to the people of the Capital the national intangible cultural heritages, which are the pride of Tay Ninh in particular and the South in general. I believe that enjoying and interacting with the art of Don Ca Tai Tu or Chhay - Dam drum dance performed by artisans in Tay Ninh and the South, right in the center of Hanoi, will be an extremely interesting practical experience for the people of the Capital.
The event is also an opportunity for Hanoians and tourists from all over to explore the culinary specialties of Tay Ninh, with dishes recognized as national intangible cultural heritages such as sun-dried rice paper, shrimp salt, etc., along with specialties bearing the Tay Ninh brand such as bird's nest, custard apple, etc.

* How do you evaluate the potential for tourism development between the two localities in the coming time?
- In 2017, the Standing Committee of Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee and the Standing Committee of Hanoi City Party Committee organized a conference on cooperation and development between Tay Ninh province and Hanoi City for the period 2017 - 2020. On that basis, the tourism industry of Tay Ninh and Hanoi signed and coordinated to organize and implement a number of practical activities with widespread effects and high efficiency, including the event "Tay Ninh Day in Hanoi" for the first time in 2017, the second time in 2019 and is expected to be held for the third time on October 7-8 this year, attracting a large number of people in Hanoi and domestic and foreign tourists to visit.
Many cooperation activities have been effectively implemented such as publishing the Hanoi - Tay Ninh tourism linkage map (in 2018 and 2019) to connect and promote the tourism image of the two localities; promoting the potential and investment opportunities for Tay Ninh tourism development at the Vietnam International Tourism Fair (2023 - 2023); promoting the northern tourist market to Tay Ninh tourism through the survey program "Tay Ninh - Journey to the heritage land" of 15 VTF enterprises in the North (in May 2022)...
In the coming time, we hope that Hanoi will continue to cooperate and exchange experiences in organizing, connecting, exploiting potentials and strengths not only in the field of tourism but also in the field of culture and sports. At the same time, support Tay Ninh province in communicating and introducing destinations, promoting the international tourist market; coordinate in building joint tours between the two localities; share experiences in models of areas, points, and typical tourism products; cooperate and exchange experiences in recreational sports, adventure sports and sports activities associated with cultural and tourism festivals.
Ba Den Mountain is the leading spiritual destination in the Southern region.
*In recent years, Tay Ninh has invited many strategic investors such as Sun Group, Vingroup... to invest in developing a number of large projects, especially in the tourism sector. How do you evaluate the achievements that Tay Ninh has achieved in the development of tourism culture in general, thanks to the investment of these enterprises?
- In recent times, Tay Ninh province has identified key investment areas, in association with strategic investors such as Sun Group, Vingroup... currently investing in a number of large-scale projects in Tay Ninh such as: a mixed-use commercial center, 5-star hotel and especially a tourist area on top of Ba Den mountain with cable car routes and many attractive auxiliary works.
It is estimated that in the first 9 months of 2023, Ba Den Mountain will attract about 4 million visitors to Tay Ninh.

The large-scale, systematic investment of strategic economic groups has contributed to the breakthrough of Tay Ninh tourism in recent years. It is estimated that in the first 9 months of 2023, the number of visitors to tourist areas and attractions reached 4.2 million, an increase of 9.3% over the same period, reaching 84.4% of the plan; total tourism revenue reached 1,765 billion VND, an increase of 49.7% over the same period, reaching 98.1% of the plan. The tourism industry is currently becoming a bright spot, contributing significantly to Tay Ninh's ranking 2nd in economic growth in the Southeast region. In particular, the Ba Den Mountain tourist area alone, invested by Sun Group, is estimated to have attracted about 4 million visitors in the first 9 months of this year.
With the systematic investment from strategic investors, Tay Ninh is expected to become a leading destination in the South. When coming here, visitors will experience the entertainment and resort tourism ecosystem deployed by large corporations, not only changing the face of provincial tourism but also contributing to increasing the attraction and diversifying the experience for visitors to this potential border land.
We also expect that from the success of these investors, there will be many more investors coming to Tay Ninh. Because, in the tourism sector alone, Tay Ninh still has a lot of room to develop and make a breakthrough.
