As the first major festival of the temple and pagoda festival season in Cao Bang province, the King Le temple festival will be held on February 3, 2025, the 6th day of the first lunar month.
Located about 10 km from Cao Bang City, Cao Bang Province, King Le Temple worships King Le Thai To in Hoang Tung Commune, Hoa An District. Legend has it that the temple enshrines the King's sword and royal robe. King Le Temple is located in the Na Lu citadel relic complex; this was the center of economic, cultural and military activities of many ancient feudal dynasties.
The Le King Temple Festival is held on the 6th of January every year. The ceremony starts on the night of the 5th of January of the lunar calendar. The festival includes cultural and artistic activities, folk games such as: raft racing, chess, stick pushing, tug of war, weeding...
At the festival, 15 communes and towns in Hoa An district also organized booths displaying OCOP products and local products such as An Lai vermicelli, forest honey, Tai Ho Sin green tea, burnt rice, dried vermicelli, etc.
