On February 4 (January 7), the People's Committee of My Lung Commune, Yen Lap District organized the Muong people's Land-Putting Festival. The festival attracted the participation of many local people and neighboring communes. 2025 is the first year that Yen Lap District and My Lung Commune will restore this typical intangible cultural heritage.
The rice planting festival is a traditional agricultural ceremony of the Muong people in My Lung commune, Yen Lap district, taking place on the 6th and 7th of January every year.
This is an indispensable cultural and religious activity of the Muong people every time Tet comes and Spring comes, with the meaning of praying for a bountiful harvest and peace and happiness for every family.
The restoration of the Muong people's Ha Dien Festival in My Lung commune is part of the project "Restoration and proposal of solutions to preserve and promote some typical cultural heritages of the Muong people associated with community tourism development in My Lung commune, Yen Lap district, Phu Tho province".
The rice planting competition is the highlight of the Rice Planting Festival. The Organizing Committee awarded souvenir flags to the rice planting teams.
