Kinhtedothi - During the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday, Vinh Phuc province welcomed nearly 210,000 tourists, an increase of 11% compared to the 5-day Tet holiday in 2024.
Tourism revenue increased by 10% compared to Tet 2024
Mr. Do Hoang Duong, Head of Tourism Management Department, Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism of Vinh Phuc said: tourists come to Vinh Phuc during Tet to experience spring sightseeing activities, play golf, or stay at resorts. The majority of visitors staying in the province are domestic visitors concentrated in 3 tourist areas: Tam Dao, Tay Thien and Dai Lai; the average room occupancy rate of accommodation facilities is about 35%.
“Tourism revenue during the Lunar New Year 2025 is estimated to reach over 132 billion VND, an increase of 10% over the same period in 2024. Visitors to Vinh Phuc are mainly groups of friends and families; picnic tourists often concentrate in areas with community tourism in Tam Dao and Ngoc Thanh; international visitors are mostly experts working in industrial parks in and outside the province who stay in Vietnam to rest and play golf.” - Mr. Do Hoang Duong shared.
Many tourism activities were carried out in Vinh Phuc province during the Lunar New Year, such as: the art program "Welcome New Year 2025"; a special art program to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam; welcoming the New Year's Eve of the Lunar New Year, 2025.
In February 2025, Vinh Yen city will hold a Sports Tournament to Celebrate the Party - Celebrate the Spring of At Ty 2025 (sports: Chinese chess, tug of war and traditional wrestling); on February 7 and 8, the Spring Newspaper Festival and Fine Arts Exhibition "Vinh Phuc Innovation and Development" will be held at the Provincial Museum.
In addition, art performances, traditional festivals and community cultural activities to welcome the new year 2025 will be organized by the People's Committees of districts and cities with rich and attractive content to create a joyful and exciting atmosphere, improve the spiritual and cultural life of the people and attract tourists to Vinh Phuc.
Prevent and strictly handle fraudulent sales and price gouging.
According to Ms. Tran Thi Minh Loi, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vinh Phuc, during the Lunar New Year 2025, the number of tourists increased again, tourism activities were ensured to be safe, there was no overloading, prolonged traffic jams. Prices of tourism services were stable, without major fluctuations.
Tourism businesses have proactively developed discount programs to stimulate tourism demand, launched many new and attractive tourism product packages, focusing on good service quality to attract tourists.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has requested districts, towns, cities, tourist areas and destinations, and tourism businesses to effectively serve tourists during the 2025 Lunar New Year.
Strictly comply with Directive No. 40-CT/TW dated December 11, 2024 of the Secretariat on organizing the Lunar New Year 2025; Directive No. 45/CT-TTg dated December 18, 2024 of the Prime Minister on strengthening measures to ensure a joyful, healthy, safe and economical Lunar New Year 2025; Official Dispatch No. 5672/BVHTTDLVP dated December 25, 2024 of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, to ensure adequate conditions to serve the tourism needs of people, workers and tourists nationwide.
The Department also coordinates with related units such as the Department of Health, Provincial Police, Department of Culture and Information of districts and cities to strengthen inspection and review of areas, in order to promptly detect, prevent and strictly handle violations of quality and price.
Therefore, security and order are guaranteed to ensure absolute safety for tourists; at the same time, security and fire prevention are ensured; social evils are not allowed to occur in the unit.
Services are listed at prices, sold at the listed prices, not allowing arbitrary price increases, causing price fever, which negatively affects Vinh Phuc tourism in particular and Vietnam tourism in general. Ensure food safety and hygiene, environmental sanitation at tourist reception areas.
