The moment of reunion moved the online community (Photo cut from clip: Provided by the character).

"This time my father was sick and had to be hospitalized, so I decided to save money to go home to help my mother take care of him and reunite with my family during Tet. In Japan, there were times when I really wanted to go home, but the epidemic and my busy work prevented me from going home," said Mr. Hung.

The young man confided that 6 years was a long time for him to endure homesickness. Every time Tet comes, Hung's feeling of homesickness increases many times over.

The young man said that when he first came to Japan, he was not yet familiar with the cultural differences in this country. Japan is also not a country that celebrates Lunar New Year like Vietnam.

"During Tet in a foreign country, I was alone, working until late at night before coming home. Sometimes I felt so sad but didn't dare call home to cry to my parents. On New Year's Eve, I only called home to wish them a happy new year and ask about my family," Hung confided.

The moment he saw his family again after many years apart, Hung confided that he could not control his emotions. He immediately ran to his father and hugged him, then both of them burst into tears.

Before that, Hung only informed his sister that he was coming home. He also asked her to hide the news from his parents to surprise them.

"Seeing my parents in real life, not through the phone screen anymore, I feel very happy. My parents are old, I'm afraid I won't have many more opportunities to be with them, so I defied everything to return home," he shared.

It is known that Hung planned to return home 1 year in advance to ask for permission and spent many days packing his luggage.

For the past two weeks, Hung and his family have been cleaning the house, buying cakes and jams to prepare for the most important holiday of the year. In the near future, Hung plans to find a temporary job in Vietnam to stay and help his mother take care of his father until his health recovers before returning to Japan.
