At the meeting, the delegates reviewed the tradition of the Youth Volunteer Force of Quang Nam province. Accordingly, this force was established in 1966, with the task of transporting food and provisions to serve the agencies of Military Region V, transporting weapons and ammunition to serve the troops fighting in the battlefields of Quang Nam, and transferring wounded soldiers to the rear.
During the 9 years of fighting against the Americans along the Truong Son Trail, the footprints of the Youth Volunteer Force were clearly visible everywhere. Although they did not directly fight the enemy with guns, the Youth Volunteer Force was mobilized close to the battlefield to supply weapons to the troops. During their mission, many Youth Volunteer Force members remained forever in their homeland.
After the country was completely liberated, former Youth Volunteers together overcame difficulties and contributed to building their homeland. Many actively participated in building the political system at the grassroots level, did good business, and were exemplary in local emulation movements.

At the meeting, the Tam Ky City Association of Former Youth Volunteers presented 30 gifts to former Youth Volunteers in difficult circumstances.
