Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Quang Vinh - Head of the Department of Culture, Science and Information of Vinh City emphasized: Through the boat racing competition, we aim to promote traditional cultural values, introduce the daily life of fishermen in Cua Lo coastal area, Vinh City to visitors from near and far. Create a joyful and healthy atmosphere, improve health, a playground for learning and exchanging for fishermen after hours of working at sea, while promoting the development of sea tourism in the Cua Lo area past and present.

Participating in this year's boat race are 16 racing teams from 8 wards and communes: Nghi Tan, Nghi Thuy, Thu Thuy, Nghi Thu, Nghi Huong, Nghi Hoa, Nghi Hai, Nghi Xuan, these are localities with strong infrastructure, strong workforce participating in fisheries development, experience, and important contributions to the marine economy and tourism development.

After the opening ceremony, the teams competed with a spirit of solidarity and determination. In the final results, the first prize went to Nghi Thuy 1 ward team, the second prize went to Nghi Thuy 2 team, the third prize went to Nghi Tan and Thu Thuy ward teams. The consolation prizes went to Nghi Hoa, Nghi Hai, Nghi Huong and Nghi Xuan teams.
