Enjoy pho from the 3 regions North - Central - South at Pho Festival 2025

(PLVN) - In addition to enjoying the famous pho cuisine - a national intangible cultural heritage, visitors can also experience the pho cooking process, from choosing ingredients, making pho noodles, cooking broth... at the "Pho Festival 2025" taking place on April 18-20, at Thang Long Imperial Citadel (Hanoi).

"Pho Festival 2025" with the theme "The Quintessence of Vietnamese Pho in the Digital Age" aims to promote the image of "Pho Hanoi" recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage, contributing to the development of Hanoi's culinary culture industry, bringing typical pho dishes of the capital in particular and the diversity of pho of regions in general.

More than 50 booths of businesses and pho culinary brands from the three regions of the North - Central - South gathered at the Pho Festival 2025. The Pho Festival 2025 is organized by the Hanoi Convention Center in coordination with the Thang Long - Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center and related units.

The signature Pho space is an important highlight, taking diners on a journey to experience the unique flavors of pho typical of each locality such as the Northwest, Nam Dinh, Hanoi, Central, Southern and International Pho. Not only is it a place to recreate the richness of pho on the land of Vietnam, this space also honors local identity, processing techniques and creativity in each bowl of pho. Famous pho stalls such as Van Cu village pho, Nam Dinh, Thin pho, Tu Lun pho, Ngo pho, Hoang Gia pho are all very crowded. Coming from the Northwest, there is Ha Giang corn pho. Pho noodles are made from golden corn kernels on the rocky plateau, creating a unique and interesting flavor for diners. The 2025 Pho Festival also has a strong regional cultural identity. Visitors enjoy Ha Giang corn pho with xoe dances and the sound of the panpipe.

Visiting the booths, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh was surprised by the paper-thin slices of beef. He said that he was born in Nam Dinh so he always remembers the rich taste of pho broth of Thanh Nam people that cannot be replaced anywhere else.

All stalls have a common price of 40,000 VND/bowl. Chatbots are placed at the information desk to help customers look up stalls, find suitable pho dishes, etc. This is the first time AI technology has been applied to a food festival in Vietnam.

More interestingly, in the space of Pho Festival 2025, besides the pho stalls with rich traditional flavors, the Mau Dich Beer counter offers a unique experience, recreating the culinary culture of old Hanoi, where a hot bowl of pho and a cold glass of draft beer used to be the symbol of popular meals full of flavor.

The exhibition space “Pho Story” at the 2025 Pho Festival recreates the development journey of Vietnamese pho through each historical period. Entering the exhibition, visitors can experience the space of ancient pho stalls, pho restaurants during the subsidy period, and famous pho brands that have reached the world. In addition, a lotus tea space recreates the elegant beauty of the art of Vietnamese tea drinking, bringing visitors moments of relaxation amidst the vibrant life of the festival.

On this occasion, the seminar "Pho becomes a UNESCO heritage and spreads internationally" was held with main contents such as: The journey of development from traditional dishes to global culinary heritage; Process and challenges in making a UNESCO dossier for Pho Profession.
