Accordingly, there are 20 zero-dong buses departing from two directions: Ho Chi Minh City (17 trips) and Hanoi (3 trips). These buses will run to 30 provinces and cities nationwide. The last bus will complete its journey from Ho Chi Minh City to Quang Binh at 7:00 a.m. on December 27 .

Of the 900 passengers on the Happy Bus, the majority are workers in export processing zones and industrial parks in the city; students studying at universities and colleges; freelancers; job seekers... More than 40% of the passengers are families of 2-3 members or more, including many children accompanying their parents back to their hometowns for Tet.

This is the third year that the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Trading Cooperatives (Saigon Co.op) has organized the "Happy Bus Trip". In the past three years, the Happy Bus Trip program has brought nearly 3,000 people from the two largest cities in the country, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, home for Tet for free.
