On the occasion of September 2nd, there are many culinary establishments that the whole family can visit.

These are all addresses listed in the starred categories, Michelin Selected or Bib Gourmand. There are old names and new names too.

Taste (Hanoi)

After becoming one of four Michelin-starred restaurants in 2023, Tam Vi maintains its form in this year's selection.

This is a two-story, quiet restaurant with 20 tables. The decor and the cutlery used give a traditional, warm feeling.

Tam Vi serves dishes from the three regions of North - Central - South. Michelin Guide rated the snail rolls served with herbs, vermicelli and fish sauce, the refreshing crab soup with jute leaves...

Tam Vi is a combination of the name of Mrs. Tam, mother of Mai Anh - the restaurant owner, and "Vi" means taste.

The idea of ​​opening a restaurant for the mother and daughter came from the desire to serve traditional Vietnamese meals to family members.

Vi An (Hanoi)

Vi An - a restaurant specializing in Northern Vietnamese rice - is on the Michelin Selected list in 2024.

According to the Michelin Guide, snail rolls are one of the most popular dishes here. Ginger chicken stew is also a simple but irresistible dish.

Rice Bowl (Hanoi)

Xoi Com - listed as a Bib Gourmand - is nestled in an old apartment building on Lang Ha Street.

In a nostalgic space with cool marble floors and old red brick walls, Xoi Com reminds us of an intimate family meal.

"When I opened the restaurant, I wanted the meals to be like my childhood memories, so the chopsticks had to be the same, so after scooping, I could eat the rice still stuck on the chopsticks like in the old days" - Mr. Tung, owner of Xoi Com, once shared.

Diners have the opportunity to revisit memories with a dessert plate made from ash glaze, a pair of old chopsticks, old ceramic bowls and plates...

Every day, the restaurant sells about 15 dishes, with 6 dishes changing daily while the remaining 9 dishes remain fixed or seasonal.

Tu's House (HCMC)

Nha Tu is listed in the Bib Gourmand list for 2024, described by Michelin as an "oasis" in the heart of bustling and crowded Ho Chi Minh City. The restaurant is filled with a nostalgic atmosphere, with cool green trees.

Dishes to try are steamed snails with lemongrass, braised fish sauce, oyster fried eggs, boiled cabbage with salty fish sauce and boiled eggs, stir-fried intestines with pickled cabbage, squash soup with fresh shrimp, or crab soup with jute. In addition, one of the favorite dishes is milk oyster hotpot and chicken hotpot with perilla leaves.

Salty (HCMC)

Man Moi serves dishes from the three regions of North - Central - South, including lost or rare dishes.

Michelin Guide introduces Man Moi as a pure Vietnamese address in a diverse international cuisine area. The restaurant has an open space, the theme is inspired by nature.

The utensils all have a Vietnamese spirit with wooden tables and chairs, rustic dishes, aluminum chopstick holders covered with banana leaves... reminiscent of traditional meals.

Brick Shop (HCMC)

Cuc Gach Quan has been named in Bib Gourmand for two consecutive years. The menu mainly consists of traditional Vietnamese dishes, such as fried tofu with lemongrass and chili, sour snakehead fish soup, stir-fried vegetables with garlic, squash soup with shrimp, etc.

The Michelin guide advises diners to "remember to leave room for desserts such as fried bananas and grass jelly with its distinctive herbal flavor...".

The restaurant is rustically decorated. The bowls and chopsticks give an old-fashioned feel. Cuc Gach Quan avoids using any plastic utensils.
