The ceremony reviewed the heroic tradition of Da Nang City through 95 years of Party establishment and 50 years of fighting, building and developing. 95 years ago, right after the Communist Party of Vietnam was born, the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee, including Tourane City Party Committee - now Da Nang, was also established . From that historical milestone, the Da Nang City Party Committee has overcome countless difficulties and challenges, promoted its leadership role, gathered the masses, and together with the whole country made great victories in the two sacred resistance wars with the nation.
At the ceremony, the delegates respectfully remembered the comrades, compatriots, and children of Quang Nam-Da Nang and the whole country who sacrificed their lives on the land of Da Nang, to establish brilliant feats. 50 years ago, in the historic days of March, under the wise leadership of the Party, the army and people of the whole country carried out the General Offensive and Uprising throughout the South. At exactly 11:30 a.m. on March 29, 1975, the flag "Determined to fight, determined to win" fluttered on the roof of Da Nang City Hall, marking a great historical moment: Da Nang City was liberated. The victory of the General Offensive and Uprising to liberate Da Nang in the Spring of 1975 is a shining symbol of patriotism and revolutionary heroism; a wonderful epic about the noble sacrifice, indomitable spirit and resilient revolutionary will of our army and people; is the crystallization of the tradition of "Loyalty, steadfastness, leading the way in destroying the Americans" of the homeland of Quang Nam - Da Nang; contributing significantly to the victory of the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign, creating the Great Victory of Spring 1975.

Immediately after the war ended, along with the country's development, over the past 50 years, the Party Committee, army and people of Da Nang have joined hands, united and united to build their homeland to change more and more. On the common foundation of the Party's innovation path, in each period, the City Party Committee has proposed appropriate policies, closely following reality but also very creative, receiving high consensus among cadres, party members and people of all walks of life. Today, Da Nang has achieved relatively comprehensive new achievements in all fields, creating a new look in the development of urban infrastructure, economy, culture and society, gradually affirming its position as a major city of the country, playing a core role in the development of the Central and Central Highlands regions.
Speaking at the ceremony, Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang affirmed that the Party Committee and the city government are always grateful to generations of leaders, cadres, soldiers, workers and people of all walks of life in the city, along with the business community who have united, joined forces, promoted the revolutionary tradition of their homeland, and have always been proactive, creative, and devoted themselves to the beloved city of Da Nang. 95 years since the founding of the City Party Committee, 50 years since the liberation of the city, the Party Committee, the government and the people of Da Nang City have constantly strived to overcome difficulties and challenges, rising up with innovative thinking, self-reliance and development aspirations; taking advantage of the leadership and direction of the Central Government, the cooperation and assistance of neighboring localities; devoting all their efforts, heart and soul to the construction and development of the city. Highlighting some great and comprehensive achievements in Party building and the political system, economic and social aspects, as well as the limitations that are becoming bottlenecks of the city, the Secretary of the City Party Committee identified the tasks that the Party Committee, government and people of the city need to do to successfully implement the goals and requirements set out in the coming time:
Speaking at the ceremony, General Secretary To Lam once again affirmed the stature and role of the glorious victory of liberating Da Nang on March 29, 1975. After the liberation, the Party Committee, government and people of Da Nang City have constantly strived to overcome difficulties and challenges, devoting all their efforts, heart and soul to the cause of construction, development and growth. On behalf of the Party and State leaders, the General Secretary warmly commended and congratulated the impressive achievements that the Party Committee, government and people of the city have achieved throughout the past period.
General Secretary To Lam also affirmed that the achievements that Da Nang has made are not only meaningful to Da Nang city, but also contribute positively to the overall development of the region and the whole country. The Central Government also has a lot of attention and expectations with many preferential and outstanding policies, mechanisms and policies, especially the policy of arranging administrative units, expanding space, creating conditions for the city to develop quickly and sustainably on the basis of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation. Therefore, the Party Committee, government and people of Da Nang City must fully and deeply understand the role, strategic position, importance and responsibility of Da Nang City in the Central Coast region and the whole country, to strongly arouse the desire for development, the spirit of self-reliance, dynamism, creativity, daring to think, daring to do of cadres and Party members and promote the strength of consensus among the people with the spirit of the people's revolutionary cause, effectively exploiting special mechanisms and policies, creating new momentum to develop Da Nang to be worthy, meeting the expectations of the Central Government and the people of the whole country.
