3-hour journey to explore Hue - Da Nang by train
On the morning of March 26, Vietnam Railways Corporation coordinated with the People's Committee of Thua Thien - Hue province and Da Nang city to organize the opening ceremony of the Hue - Da Nang tourist train "Connecting Central Heritage".
Mr. Dang Sy Manh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Railway Corporation, together with Chairman of Thua Thien Hue Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phuong, Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong and delegates performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony to inaugurate the Hue - Da Nang tourist train.
Mr. Dang Sy Manh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Railways Corporation, said that with a travel time of about 3 hours, the train will take tourists through Hai Van Pass - known as "The most majestic pass in the world" to Da Nang - a place with a long coastline honored as one of the six most beautiful beaches on the planet.
In the opposite direction (Da Nang - Hue), visitors will set foot on the heritage land - the ancient capital of Hue. From the train, visitors can admire the majestic and beautiful natural scenery, where the North and South meet, with the Truong Son mountain range on one side and the immense ocean on the other.
In particular, with 2 trains departing in the morning or afternoon from Hue to Da Nang and vice versa, visitors can welcome the sunrise and sunset on Lang Co Bay - one of the most beautiful bays, on the most beautiful journey in the world.

During its initial operation, the train consists of 5 modern air-conditioned soft-seat carriages and 1 community activity carriage, promising to be an impressive "mobile" check-in point for visitors.
At Da Nang and Hue stations, the Railway sector also arranged VIP waiting rooms to serve passengers. On the journey, visitors can also enjoy special local cuisine…
On the opening day alone, the train consists of 10 carriages, including 2 community carriages, where visitors can enjoy cuisine and unique cultural and artistic performances.
After arriving at Hue station and Da Nang station, right in front of the station, the localities have arranged an automatic bicycle rental system using QR code scanning for the convenience of tourists visiting scenic spots.
In particular, Thua Thien - Hue province also applies a discount support policy for organizations and individuals when visiting tourist attractions in Hue (applicable once for each train ticket). It is expected that in April, the train will be equipped with wifi to serve passengers...

According to Mr. Dang Sy Manh, Vietnam Railways has been established for 143 years, the existing national railway has a network of 3,143km, passing through 34 provinces and cities across the country, with more than 300 stations, most of which are located in city centers and district capitals.
Many railway stations are preserved in their original state, and many routes are worth experiencing. In 2023, the prestigious Leony Playnets Magazine voted the 1,726km Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City railway line as the most beautiful and worth experiencing railway line in the world.
