Nghe An issues telegram to proactively respond to storm Toraji

On November 10, the Standing Office of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention - Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of Nghe An province issued dispatch No. 10/CD-VPTT on proactively responding to storm Toraji.

The content of the telegram clearly states:

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, storm Toraji is active in the sea east of Luzon Island (Philippines); on November 12, the storm is forecast to enter the East Sea with a level 9 intensity, gusting to level 11.

To proactively respond to the storm's developments, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense requests the Steering Committees for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue of coastal districts, cities and towns; relevant departments, branches and agencies to direct the implementation of the following contents:

Closely monitor the storm's developments; strictly manage means of transport going out to sea; organize the counting of ships and boats; notify owners of means of transport and captains of ships and boats operating at sea of ​​the location, direction of movement and developments of the storm so that they can proactively avoid, escape or not move into dangerous areas.

Dangerous areas in the next 24 hours: From latitude 16.5 - 21.0 degrees North latitude, East of longitude 119.0 degrees East longitude; in the next 48 hours: From latitude 15.0 - 21.0 degrees North latitude, East of longitude 117.5 degrees East longitude (dangerous areas are adjusted in forecast bulletins).

Ready forces and means for rescue when required.

Provincial Radio and Television Station, Nghe An Newspaper, Ben Thuy Coastal Information Station and mass media agencies have increased measures to inform authorities at all levels, owners of vehicles operating at sea and people about the storm's developments to proactively prevent and respond.

Departments and branches, according to their functions, state management tasks and assigned tasks, proactively direct and coordinate with localities to respond to storm developments.

Organize on-duty seriously and regularly report to the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense./.
