(Dan Tri) - The entrance exam for grade 10 of the 2025-2026 school year in Nghe An will take place over two days, June 3-4, with three subjects: Math, Literature and Foreign Language (English or French).
The People's Committee of Nghe An province has approved the enrollment plan for grade 10 for the 2025-2026 school year. This plan applies to public high schools, Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, ethnic boarding schools, and grade 6 of ethnic boarding secondary schools.
Candidates will take three compulsory exams: Math, Literature (essay format, 120 minutes each) and Foreign Language (multiple choice, 60 minutes). In particular, the foreign language exam will be graded by software on the multiple choice answer sheet.
Contestants are students with permanent residence and studying in Nghe An province, who have graduated from junior high school according to regulations. Students transferring from other provinces must have approval from the Department of Education and Training (DOET).

Admission methods include entrance exams for schools with more than the quota for first-choice applications and admission consideration for the remaining schools. Schools under the international integration advanced school project will consider admission for advanced classes and entrance exams for the remaining classes.
The Department of Education and Training will review and submit to the Provincial People's Committee for approval specific enrollment targets for each school, and at the same time publicly announce them so that students and parents are aware before the registration period.
The scores for the math and literature exams are on a 10-point scale, rounded to the nearest 0.25 points. Each correct answer in the foreign language exam is worth 0.25 points. All three exams have a coefficient of 1. Successful candidates must not have any exam with a score of 0.
Priority and incentive points will be added according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training. The admission score is the total score of the 3 exams plus priority points (if any).
The Provincial People's Committee requires that the exam questions closely follow the general education program for secondary schools issued by the Ministry of Education and Training, mainly in the 9th grade program. The exam questions must be accurate, clear, error-free, and ensure a level of differentiation appropriate to the time available for the test.
According to the plan, the selection and announcement of the first round of results will be completed within 20 days from the date of the exam results. Enrollment will end when the quota is met or until the new school year starts, whichever comes first.
This year is the first time the 10th grade entrance exam is organized according to the 2018 General Education Program. Previously, the Department of Education and Training announced the structure and sample exam questions in early January to facilitate the review process of students and schools.
The entrance exam to Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted will take place on June 6. In the 2025-2026 school year, the school plans to enroll 13 specialized classes, including the following subjects: Math (2 classes), physics, chemistry, biology, information technology, literature, history, geography, English, Japanese, Chinese, French, Russian and Korean.
